Jacaranda Glade is a temperate forest biome added by Biomes O' Plenty. Its trees are jacaranda trees, the source of Jacaranda Wood. In Fear Nightfall it is a hostile place at night: its monster spawn table has 56 entries, and it includes several Born in Chaos and graveyard mobs alongside the vanilla zombies, skeletons and spiders.
The glade is uncommon. It covers about 0.35% of the pack's surface land, and it appears in about 0.03% of the cave layer at y=-30.
Description
Jacaranda Glade has a temperature of 0.7 and a downfall of 0.8, so it receives rain rather than snow. Its colours are a bright green grass (#7abc6f), a slightly yellower foliage (#83c070), a pale blue fog (#c0d8ff), a clear blue sky (#79a6ff) and blue water (#3f76e4).
The biome's defining plant is the jacaranda tree. Trees are placed by a weighted random selector: each chunk makes either 6 or 21 tree placement attempts (weighted 4:1). Most of the trees are large jacaranda trees, with a smaller share of other flowering shapes, including snowblossom and cherry variants. The leaves are jacaranda leaves, which emit jacaranda leaf particles. Fallen jacaranda logs lie on the ground in some places.
Ambient sound is the standard cave ambience, with a mood sound attempted every 6000 ticks (5 minutes). The background music is the overworld cherry grove track, with a delay of 12000 to 24000 ticks (10 to 20 minutes) between plays and no replacement of music already playing.
Generation
Jacaranda Glade is an overworld forest. Its data tags it as a forest, a dense-vegetation area and an overworld biome, and it carries the tag that biases stronghold placement toward a biome.
Fear Nightfall weights its biome distribution by the climate and biome type of each mod. Jacaranda Glade is not one of the biomes given 6× weight in the pack. The pack does concentrate its extra horror structures in temperate-to-cool, humid forests, swamps and taigas, and the glade is one of those forests, so it receives more horror structures than a desert or jungle would. Its surface share is listed in the infobox.
Features
- Trees: jacaranda trees as described above.
- Ground cover: grass patches, tall grass patches, and a flower patch. Sugar cane patches are also placed.
- Wild plants: wild carrots and wild onions from Farmer's Delight, and wild flax from Supplementaries.
- Cocoons: silk cocoons from Critters and Companions appear both on the ground and hanging from trees.
- Cave urns from Supplementaries are a placed feature of the biome.
- Ores: the standard vanilla ore set for the overworld (coal, iron, copper, gold, redstone, lapis, diamond, plus the stone-type veins of andesite, diorite, granite and tuff, and gravel and dirt ore veins). Diamond ore has several placements, including a buried and a large variant.
- Mod ores: Mithril ore from Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks, Sulfur ore and sulfur regeneration from Butchery, black argillite from Born in Chaos, and infected diamond ore from Born in Chaos.
- Underground water: glow squids spawn in the underground water.
Mobs and structures
The monster table is led by spiders, skeletons, creepers and slimes (weight 100 each), then zombies (95). Graveyard mobs are also common, led by the Ghoul (weight 25). The Necromancer has weight 18 and the Dread Hound weight 7. Passive mobs are crows, sheep, pigs, chickens, cows, honey golems and ferrets. The ambient category includes bats, leaf insects, ladybugs and coal golems (weight 20). In water the fish are bluegill and perch (weight 20 each), with glutton fish and corpse fish in the deep water.
Structures that can generate here include illager hideouts, graveyard dead trees and ruins, Born in Chaos dark towers and farms, Iron's Spellbooks catacombs and evoker forts, Structory farmer outposts, and Terralith fortified villages. Villages are drawn from the pack's merged village set, so the type that appears depends on which village types are valid for the local biome.

Tips
- Keep a light source ready after dark. The monster table is long, and the weights above show which mobs are most likely to appear first.
- Jacaranda wood from the trees here makes a full wood set: planks, stairs, slabs, doors, boats and chest boats, among others.
- Mithril, sulfur and infected diamond ore are all placed here, so the glade is a useful place to mine.
- Because the biome carries the stronghold-bias tag, searching for a stronghold near this biome is a reasonable starting point.
