Hellbark Wood is a full wood set added by Biomes O' Plenty. The set has a log, a wood block, stripped versions of both, planks, slabs, stairs, a fence and fence gate, a door, a trapdoor, a pressure plate, a button, standing and wall signs, hanging signs, a sapling, a potted sapling, leaves, a boat and a chest boat. Biomes O' Plenty ships thirteen wood sets, and Hellbark is one of them. Its trees grow naturally in the Nether biome Undergrowth.
Hellbark Wood has no tool, armor or progression role. Its blocks are building and decorative materials, and its sapling and leaves are used for tree farming and by mobs from other mods.
Obtaining
Hellbark trees generate naturally only in Undergrowth, a Nether biome. The biome's trees_undergrowth feature makes 40 placement attempts per chunk with a weight of 4 and 41 attempts with a weight of 1. Each attempt places a small hellbark tree, or with a 40% chance a large one. An attempt can fail if the terrain does not fit the tree, so the count is an upper bound on the number of trees.

Trading
The Hellbark Sapling is one of the rare Wandering Trader listings. The Wandering Trader only sells it when the mod's wandering trader trades are enabled, which is the default. The table below lists the trade.

Usage
The log, wood, planks, slab, stairs and the other wood blocks are mined with an axe. The door and trapdoor are harder to mine than the planks (hardness 3 against 2), as shown in the item table below.
The Hellbark Sapling is the item that grows the trees. Bone meal on a sapling advances its stage on the first use and grows a tree on the next. Each bone meal use has a 45% chance to succeed. The sapling has a compost chance of 30% and burns as furnace fuel for 0.5 items.
The Hellbark Leaves have a compost chance of 30%. The mod tags them as food for the stick bug and leaf insect and as a tempting item for the snail in Critters and Companions, and as herbs for Hexerei.
The Hellbark Boat and Hellbark Boat with Chest are the mod's boat items. Boats drop their items only when entity drops are enabled, which is standard boat behaviour. The chest boat burns as furnace fuel for 6 items.
The pack's list of changes does not mention Hellbark Wood, so its trees and blocks behave as the mod defines them.
