Fir Wood

Fir Wood
Mod	Biomes O' Plenty
Items	20
Stackable	Yes (64)

Fir Wood is a log-type block of the fir wood set, added by Biomes O' Plenty. The set is one of thirteen full wood sets that the mod registers. Fir Wood is the form of the fir log with bark on all sides, and it counts as a log for recipes and item tags. It is harvested with an axe, burns in a furnace, and can be stripped into stripped fir wood. The planks, stairs, slabs, fences, doors and boats of the set are made from the set's planks.

Obtaining

Natural generation

Fir trees are placed by the Fir Clearing biome and its snowy variant. The small fir tree has a trunk 5 to 11 blocks tall, one block wide, and fir leaves as its foliage. Fallen fir logs are also placed on the ground in the Fir Clearing biome, which gives players a source of fir logs without felling a standing tree.

Crafting

Four fir logs craft into three fir wood. Stripping a fir log with an axe turns it into a stripped fir log, and four stripped fir logs craft into three stripped fir wood. Fir planks are crafted from a single fir log, which yields four planks.

Trading

The wandering trader does not sell fir wood. The trader's generic listings include the fir sapling, which is an item in this set.

Trader	Level	Cost	Result	Max uses
Wandering Trader	1	Emerald ×5	Fir Sapling ×1	8

Usage

Fir Wood has a hardness of 2 and a blast resistance of 2, the same as a vanilla oak log. It is flammable and burns for 1.5 items in a furnace. The stripped form has the same values.

Biomes O' Plenty adds its logs to the vanilla minecraft:logs item tag and the biomesoplenty:fir_logs tag. Any recipe, feature or mod that accepts vanilla logs therefore also accepts fir logs.

Crafting ingredient

Fir Wood is not an ingredient of the fir hanging sign, which is crafted from two chains and six stripped fir logs. Fir Wood is not used in the set's other recipes; they use planks.
