Biomes O' Plenty Flowers are the flower, petal, lily and related plant blocks added by Biomes O' Plenty. They cover 29 entries: small and tall flowers, clover and huge clover petals, lily pads, potted flowers, and the Burning Blossom, which is the only one of them that damages entities. Most of them are plain decoration, but many double as dye sources, compost, flower-box fillers and suspicious stew ingredients. The pack's Fear Nightfall setup keeps the Wandering Trader offers for several of them, so players can buy them without leaving the overworld.
Obtaining
The flowers generate naturally in the Biomes O' Plenty biomes that place them. Tall flowers (Tall Lavender, Tall White Lavender, Blue Hydrangea, Goldenrod, Icy Iris) occupy two blocks and are placed as a lower and upper half; breaking either half removes both. Most flowers can also be obtained by breaking them with any tool or by hand, since their hardness is 0.
Flowers can be crafted into dyes. Each dye-producing flower has one recipe, and the output is shown in the crafting table below. See dye for how the dyes are used.
Trading
The Wandering Trader is the only trader that sells these blocks. The trades are added by Biomes O' Plenty and are controlled by the config option general.wandering_trader_trades, which is enabled by default. The pool has 52 common listings and 15 rare listings. Common listings are emerald trades for saplings, flowers, sand, grasses and glowshroom. Rare listings include Rose, Glowflower, Burning Blossom and Icy Iris. Villagers do not sell any of these blocks.

Usage
Flowers have little use beyond decoration, dye, and a few mechanics. The table below lists the crafting recipes.
Suspicious stew effects
Each flower is registered with a suspicious stew effect. The effects are listed in Flower Effects and Suspicious Stew. Briefly:
- Rose: speed
- Violet: confusion
- Lavender and White Lavender: health boost
- Orange Cosmos: absorption
- Pink Daffodil: invisibility
- Pink Hibiscus: regeneration
- Wilted Lily: unluck
- Burning Blossom: fire resistance
These effects do not apply on contact. They only work through suspicious stew, which is the vanilla flower-based stew mechanic.
Burning Blossom
Burning Blossom is the only flower that damages entities. It emits light level 7. It can only be placed on Netherrack, Soul Sand, Soul Soil, Crimson Nylium and Warped Nylium. Entities standing in it are set on fire, and the block adds one remaining fire tick per tick of contact. When the fire counter reaches zero, the entity ignites for 1 second. Each tick it also deals 1.0 damage with the inFire damage type. Hoglins, Piglins and Piglin Brutes are unaffected by the fire effect. The damage check does not depend on fire immunity, so fire-immune entities still take the damage. This follows from the code path and has not been tested in game.
In the Fear Nightfall setup, Burning Blossom is a heating source for Tough As Nails, and Icy Iris is a cooling fuel for the same mod. The pack's Serene Seasons and Tough As Nails data reads these flowers when those mods are installed.
Wilted Lily
Wilted Lily can only be placed on Dried Salt. Its suspicious stew effect is unluck.
Fire and compost
Most flowers have a compost chance of 65%. Clover is 50% and White Petals is 30%.
The flowers are flammable. Vanilla fire spread is set to a flammability of 100 and an encouragement of 60 for flowers and grasses. Flowers near a fire source are likely to burn.
