Flower Effects and Suspicious Stew
Flower Effects and Suspicious Stew lists every flower and plant in Fear Nightfall that can be used as the flower in suspicious stew. A suspicious stew takes its effect from the flower it is made with, so the flower decides what the stew does and for how long. Most of these flowers come from Biomes O' Plenty and Regions Unexplored, which together cover about half of the pack's land. A few more come from Farmer's Delight, Bioshrooms and Soul Blocks.
Many of the same flowers also craft into dyes. The dye each flower produces is given in the tables below. The crafting recipes themselves are on each mod's flower page, Biomes O' Plenty Flowers and Regions Unexplored Flowers.
How the effect works
Each stew flower stores one status effect and a duration in seconds. The effect is applied when the stew is eaten. None of these flowers applies its effect on contact. Effects that are instant, such as Instant Health, do not use the duration. The effects are described on Status Effects.
Farmer's Delight's soups and stews grant Comfort and Nourishment instead of flower effects. They are covered on Soups and Stews and Comfort and Nourishment.

The mod's source registers a duration of 5 to 10 for each of these flowers, but the flower class does not pass that value on. It sends a duration of 0 seconds to the vanilla flower base class, which converts seconds to ticks. The stew effects of these flowers are therefore applied with no duration. This follows from the code path and has not been tested in game. Regions Unexplored flowers do not have this problem, since their class does apply the duration.
Burning Blossom is the only flower in this group that damages entities, and its fire rules are on Biomes O' Plenty Flowers.

Pack changes and horror notes
The pack's custom biome table balances the land shares of the mods. Biomes O' Plenty takes about 25% of the land and Regions Unexplored about 28%, so their flowers are common in the overworld. The Wandering Trader offers several Biomes O' Plenty flowers, which is covered on Biomes O' Plenty Flowers.
Two stew sources are tied to dangerous places. Infernal Holt is where dorcel grows, and Mystic Grove is a hostile-leaning forest that has two stew flowers, glowflower and pink daffodil.
Tips
- Haste (white trillium) and Jump Boost (alpha rose, alpha dandelion, waratah) are the stew effects that help most in a fight. Mining Fatigue (mallow, wilting trillium) and Nausea (aster) work against you.
- Do not walk through dorcel. Standing in it damages you each tick and slows movement, and a stew made from it gives Wither for 20 seconds.
- The dye column shows which flowers can be turned into dye, so check it before clearing a flower patch you want to keep.
