The Null and End Blocks are a family of blocks, plants and a fluid added by Biomes O' Plenty for the End. The family has two groups. The Null group is made of Null Block, Null End Stone, Null Leaves, Null Plant and the Liquid Null fluid with its bucket. The End Stone group is made of Algal End Stone and Unmapped End Stone, along with the flowers Endbloom and Enderphyte. Several of these blocks are immune to the Ender Dragon's damage.
Obtaining
These blocks are obtained by crafting, by natural generation in the End highlands, or by growing them with bone meal. The generated tables list the crafting recipes and the blocks that use each ingredient.
Crafting
Natural generation
- End Wilds: the floor surface is Algal End Stone, and the End flower feature places Endbloom in this biome.
- End Corruption: the surface is Unmapped End Stone. Null trees are placed on Unmapped End Stone in this biome.
- Null patches: worldgen features place Null Plant and Enderphyte patches in the End.
- Liquid Null: the Liquid Null lake uses Null End Stone as its barrier block. The Liquid Null spring can appear on End Stone, Null End Stone and Unmapped End Stone.
- Anomaly features: the anomaly feature places Null End Stone and Null Block on End Stone and Unmapped End Stone.
Bone meal
Bone meal grows several of these blocks. Each use only succeeds if the space above the block is air.
- Null Block: always succeeds. It spreads Null Plants onto the air above and nearby.
- Null Plant: succeeds 10% of the time. The plant is removed and a Null tree is grown in its place. If the tree fails to place, the plant is restored.
- Algal End Stone: always succeeds. On a 1-in-8 roll it places the flower feature of the biome above. Otherwise it places Enderphyte.
Usage
Null group
- Null Block has a hardness of 0 and a blast resistance of 0, so it breaks instantly with any tool. It is the trunk block of the Null tree. Its particles drift from its non-full neighbouring faces, with a 1-in-10 chance per tick. The particles are not emitted from below.
- Null End Stone has a hardness of 1.5 and a blast resistance of 4.5. It requires a pickaxe to be harvested, and it is immune to the Ender Dragon's damage.
- Null Leaves are the foliage of the Null tree. They are placed persistent, so they never decay. Their distance value is recalculated from nearby Null Blocks, with a distance of 0 for a Null Block and 7 for anything that is not connected to one.
- Null Plant breaks instantly and is replaceable. It is not solid, so it has no collision. It grows only on blocks that pass its placement check.
End Stone group
- Unmapped End Stone has a hardness of 3 and a blast resistance of 9. It requires a pickaxe to be harvested, and it is immune to the Ender Dragon's damage.
- Algal End Stone has the same hardness and blast resistance as Unmapped End Stone and also requires a pickaxe. On a random tick, it turns back into End Stone if the block above it is a full fluid source or blocks all light. It stays Algal End Stone only where the space above is open.
- Endbloom is a small flower that is placed by the End flower feature in End Wilds. It is a source of water breathing in the suspicious stew recipe. It has a 30% compost chance.
- Enderphyte is a foliage plant with a hardness of 0 and a 30% compost chance. It is flammable. Endermen can pick it up.
- Potted Endbloom is an Endbloom placed in a flower pot.
Liquid Null
Liquid Null is a dense, viscous fluid. The bucket places the fluid, and a flow of it can turn into a source block. Only fluids other than Liquid Null can replace it when it flows downward.

Tips
- Mine End Stone variants with a pickaxe. Null End Stone is faster to break than vanilla End Stone, since its hardness is 1.5 rather than 3.
- Null Block and Null Plant break instantly, and Null Block takes no time to mine.
- The Ender Dragon cannot destroy Algal End Stone, Unmapped End Stone, Null End Stone or Null Block, so these blocks can be used to protect a structure in the End.
- Bone meal on Algal End Stone always succeeds, so it is the reliable way to grow Enderphyte.
