Origin Valley Blocks are a group of blocks that Biomes O' Plenty adds, tied to its Origin Valley biome. The group contains an Origin Grass Block, an Origin Sapling with a potted variant, Origin Leaves, and the Anomaly block. The Origin tree family has no wood set, so it has no logs, planks or other wooden blocks. The Anomaly block is a visual-only block with four random appearances.
Obtaining
The Origin blocks can be bought from the Wandering Trader in the rare listings, which include the Origin Sapling and Origin Grass Block; see the trades table below. No crafting recipe in this set produces any of these blocks.
Trading
Trades are offered by the Wandering Trader only. The set has no villager profession trades. The rare listings include the Origin Sapling and Origin Grass Block, and the trading config can be disabled in the mod's general settings.

Usage
Origin Grass Block
The Origin Grass Block has a hardness of 0.6 and is mined with a shovel. It has a snowy block state, which is true or false. A hoe tills it into Farmland, and a shovel flattens it into a Dirt Path. These conversions are registered in the mod's vanilla compatibility code.
Origin Sapling
The Origin Sapling is stackable to 64 and is mined with an axe; it has no hardness. It grows in two stages (stage 0 and 1). It is a compostable item with a 30% chance to raise the compost level, and it can be used as fuel in a furnace. It is in the vanilla saplings item tag and the Hexerei herbs tag. When Serene Seasons is installed, it is also a crop for the spring, summer, autumn and winter seasons. A potted version, the Potted Origin Sapling, is a flower pot block with the same stack and hardness values as the sapling.
Origin Leaves
Origin Leaves have a hardness of 0.2 and are mined with a hoe. They are flammable: the mod's fire compatibility sets their flammability values to 30 and 60. They have a 30% compost chance, the same as the sapling. The block states are distance (1 to 7), persistent and waterlogged, as on vanilla leaves. Stick bugs, leaf insects and snails from Critters and Companions treat the leaves as food or temptation items.
Anomaly
The Anomaly block has a light level of 5 and a hardness of 0. It is placed as one of four random types: volatile, quirky, unstable or stable. Only the stable type renders as a full model that blocks light; the other three are invisible and let skylight pass through. The block cycles through the render states of other model-shaped blocks in the registry, with volatile changing fastest and unstable changing in slow bursts. This effect is client-side only and does not change gameplay.
Origin Valley
Origin Valley is the biome these blocks belong to. Its natural monsters are spiders, zombies, skeletons, creepers and slimes. The biome adds monsters to the vanilla spawn categories, so mob-spawn mods that change monster caps or spawn lists will affect it. Serene Seasons blacklists Origin Valley and Wintry Origin Valley from its season rules.
Fear Nightfall's biome distribution calibrates Biomes O' Plenty to about 25% of land share, which sets how often the biome and its blocks appear in the overworld. Origin Valley is one of the hostile-leaning biomes of the mod.
