The Maple Wood set is a family of wood, leaf, sapling and decorative blocks added by two mods. Biomes O' Plenty (BOP) adds red, orange and yellow maple leaf families and a full wood set. Regions Unexplored (RU) adds a second, separate maple wood set with its own leaf litter, shrubs and branches. Both sets have a log-derived wood block named "Maple Wood", so the two are described together on this page, with the BOP and RU variants noted where they differ.
Obtaining
Maple logs come from maple trees. BOP maple trees are the red, orange and yellow variants. They generate in the Maple Woods biome and its snowy variant, Snowy Maple Woods. RU maple trees generate in the Maple Forest biome and in the Autumnal Maple Forest and Windswept Maple Forest biomes. In the Maple Forest tree group, the RU maple tree has a weight of 4, tied with a tall spruce variant, and the RU red maple and RU large maple each have a weight of 1.
Saplings are the other source of trees. BOP red, orange and yellow maple saplings grow into a basic tree, or into a large tree when grown in a 2×2 square. RU maple saplings grow through their own tree types.
Wandering traders sell BOP red, orange and yellow maple saplings for 5 emeralds each. Each trade gives one sapling and can be used 8 times before it is disabled.
Crafting
Four logs of either type make three wood blocks, and four stripped logs make three stripped wood blocks. A single log makes four planks. Most other items in the set are made from planks. The recipe grids below show the full set.

Usage
The wood blocks follow the standard wood set properties. Logs and wood have a hardness of 2 and a blast resistance of 2. Planks have a hardness of 2 and a blast resistance of 3. All of them are mined fastest with an axe.
Logs, wood, planks, stairs, fences and trapdoors burn in a furnace for 1.5 items, and a maple boat burns for 6 items. Saplings burn for 0.5 items. BOP saplings, leaves and leaf piles compost at 30%, and RU leaf litter composts at 10%. RU shrubs compost at 65%. Maple leaves from both mods are tagged as food for stick bugs and leaf insects, and as tempting items for snails, under Critters and Companions.
Maple boats are crafted from five planks. A boat with a chest is made by combining a chest with a maple boat. Maple hanging signs are crafted from two chains and six stripped maple logs, which yields six hanging signs.

Items
BOP red, orange and yellow maple leaves can drop saplings when broken. Their leaf piles can only be collected with shears. RU maple shrubs are crafted from two saplings, and a shrub can be crafted back into two saplings. The table below lists every item in the set, including the RU leaf litter and branch items, which are not wood blocks.
