Jacaranda Wood is one of the 13 wood sets added by Biomes O' Plenty. The set consists of a log, wood block, stripped log and stripped wood, planks, slab, stairs, fence, fence gate, door, trapdoor, pressure plate, button, sign, hanging sign, sapling, potted sapling, leaves, a boat and a chest boat. The sapling and leaves are tied to the Jacaranda Glade biome. The leaves emit falling particles below the canopy, a visual effect that is separate from the wood's crafting uses.
Obtaining
The sapling and leaves come from the Jacaranda Glade biome, which is part of the Overworld biome list added by Biomes O' Plenty. Logs are harvested from the trees and processed by crafting. Jacaranda Wood has no unique progression requirement: the items use ordinary crafting, and no tool, advancement or mob drop is needed.
Crafting
Four jacaranda logs craft into three jacaranda wood blocks. One log crafts into four jacaranda planks, and the planks feed most of the other recipes in the set. The table below lists every recipe that produces an item on this page.

Usage
Jacaranda Wood is used as a building material. Logs, wood and the stripped variants all have a hardness of 2 and are harvested with an axe. Planks have a blast resistance of 3. Doors have a hardness of 3, while the pressure plate has a hardness of 0.5 and the button has a hardness of 0.5.
Logs, wood, planks and most wooden blocks are flammable and act as furnace fuel. A log or wood block gives 1.5 items of fuel, and a slab gives 0.75. Leaves and saplings can be composted at a 30% chance.
An axe strips a jacaranda log or wood block into its stripped form. Stripped jacaranda blocks are the input for the hanging sign and several other recipes in the set.
Interactions with the pack
- The vanilla
minecraft:logsandminecraft:planksitem tags include all jacaranda blocks. Any recipe, structure or mod that keys on those tags accepts jacaranda wood as well as vanilla wood. - The potted sapling is a flower pot holding a jacaranda sapling.
- Jacaranda saplings are tagged for Supplementaries' flower boxes and for Serene Seasons' spring and summer crops. Hexerei also tags the sapling and leaves as herbs.
- Jacaranda leaves are tagged as animal food and as food for stick bug, leaf insect and snail mobs from Critters and Companions.
- The boat and the chest boat are in the vanilla boat tags, so they behave like vanilla boats. Supplementaries adds a cannon boat recipe that uses the jacaranda boat as an ingredient.
