Dead Wood is a log block from the dead wood set. Two mods add a set with this name: Biomes O' Plenty and Regions Unexplored. Each set has its own blocks with the same names, so the two versions look the same and build the same way, but they are separate items with separate ids. Dead Wood is the all-sided log of the set, and it is the structural wood from which the set's planks, stairs, slabs, fences, doors and trapdoors are made.

Obtaining

Dead Wood is made by crafting. Four Dead Log in the crafting grid make three Dead Wood, and the recipe is the same in both mods, using each mod's own dead log. Dead Wood is not offered by villagers, and the Wandering Trader listings in Biomes O' Plenty do not include it.

Usage

Dead Wood is a log with a hardness of 2 and a blast resistance of 2. It is best broken with an axe. In a furnace it burns for 1.5 items. In the Biomes O' Plenty set it is flammable. The Regions Unexplored version has the same hardness and blast resistance, but the mod marks all of its wood as non-flammable, so its dead wood does not burn.

Dead Wood can stand in for a dead log in planks recipes. The planks recipe lists Dead Log, Dead Wood, Stripped Dead Log and Stripped Dead Wood as alternatives, so any of the four can be used to make Dead Planks. Dead Planks are the main product of the set. They are the ingredient for the set's stairs, slabs, fences, doors, trapdoors, pressure plates, buttons, signs and boats, as shown in the table below.

Stripped Dead Wood is made from Stripped Dead Log in the crafting grid, using the same four-for-three pattern. In the Regions Unexplored set, an axe also strips the Ashen Wood family into Stripped Dead Wood. Stripped Dead Wood has the same fuel value and hardness as the unstripped block.
