The Willow Wood is a wood type for the willow tree. Three mods add their own willow set: Biomes O' Plenty (biomesoplenty), Hexerei (hexerei) and Regions Unexplored (regions_unexplored). Each set has its own log, wood, stripped log and wood, planks, stairs, slab, fence, fence gate, door, trapdoor, pressure plate, button, sign, hanging sign, boat, chest boat, sapling and leaves, so the three sets are separate block and item ids. All three register their planks, logs and fences under the vanilla and common wood tags, so a recipe that accepts any planks or any logs accepts willow of any of the three mods.
The set matters most in Hexerei, where willow is the first wood a player reaches. It is the wood of the Willow Broom, the Willow Altar and the Mixing Cauldron recipes, and of the swamp biome that Hexerei adds.

One willow log or wood makes 4 planks, and 4 logs make 3 wood. The shapes of the doors, stairs, slabs, fences and trapdoors are in the grid above.
Other crafting routes:
- Hexerei's Willow Branch is made from one Willow Log and one stick, which gives 2 branches.
- Regions Unexplored's Willow Shrub is made from two Willow Saplings. A Willow Shrub crafts back into two Willow Saplings.
- The Biomes O' Plenty Willow Hanging Sign is made from two chains and six Stripped Willow Logs, which gives 6 signs.
Natural generation
Hexerei adds the Willow Swamp biome. It is an overworld biome with temperature 0.8 and downfall 0.9, and it replaces vanilla swamp through a TerraBlender region. Its weight is set by the willow_swamp_rarity config option, which defaults to 2, and 0 disables it. Without TerraBlender installed, the biome is never used and vanilla swamp remains. The biome generates Mud Patches and Flowering Lily Pads. Its mobs are the swamp fauna and monsters of vanilla swamp, including witches, spiders, zombies and skeletons, plus frogs at weight 10. Hexerei's willow tree feature targets the vanilla swamp biome tag, which the Willow Swamp is not part of, so Hexerei's data does not confirm that willow trees generate in the Willow Swamp.
Usage
- Willow Broom is a rideable vehicle entity. Its speed multiplier comes from the broom type and is changed by the brushes and by the Broom Whistle, which recalls a bound broom. The Thruster Brush adds 1.5 speed. The Moon Dust Brush adds 1.0 between time-of-day 0.25 and 0.75 when the moon is full, and 0.25 otherwise. - Willow Vines from Hexerei and the Biomes O' Plenty Willow Vine are climbable. The Biomes O' Plenty vine is also flammable.
- Woodcutter recipes are generated when the server starts from every log, plank, chest, sign, boat, stair and slab the game knows about, including the willow sets of the other mods. A Woodcutter can therefore swap willow logs, planks and derived items between the three sets.
Fear Nightfall changes
The pack weights Willow Swamp at 6 times the usual weight of a biome, which puts it among the horror biomes. Before the pack's changes, the nearest Willow Swamp was about 5 km from spawn, and the biome was rare; the pack made it more common. Structures from Hexerei's covens and witch huts are placed about 30% closer together. The horror share of temperate-to-cool humid forests, taigas and swamps is about 25%.

The Willow Altar takes 3 willow slabs and 4 willow planks. The Willow Drying Rack takes 2 willow buttons, a stick and 3 willow slabs. The Willow Broom is made in the Mixing Cauldron from 2 Willow Logs, a Bottle of Blood, 2 blocks of gold, 2 wheat, a Mandrake Root and 1000 mB of water.

The table lists every willow item in the three sets. Each set registers its own Willow Boat and Willow Boat with Chest. Regions Unexplored's Willow Sign can also be crafted into Way Sign Willow.
