Overgrown Greens is a temperate, rainy overworld biome added by Biomes O' Plenty. It has thick grass, clover and flower cover, and its monster table mixes vanilla overworld mobs with many of the horror mobs from Born in Chaos.
Description
Overgrown Greens has a temperature of 0.6 and a downfall of 0.9, so it rains rather than snows. Its grass is tinted #5ebf6a, its foliage #55bc71, its water #3f76e4, its fog #c0d8ff and its sky #7aa5ff. The ambient mood sound is the vanilla cave sound, played every 6000 ticks (5 minutes) within 8 blocks of the player.
The ground cover is grass and clover. The biome's own vegetation features are grass patches, tall grass, high grass, clover patches and huge clover, and glow lichen grows as a vegetation feature. Flower patches use Pink Daffodil (weight 2) and Azure Bluet (weight 1). In a suspicious stew, Pink Daffodil gives invisibility (see Flower Effects and Suspicious Stew). The biome's own feature list places no trees, so tree cover comes from structures and other mods.
Generation
Overgrown Greens takes about 0.50% of the land surface in Fear Nightfall and 0.12% of the cave layer at y = -30. It carries the dense-vegetation and stronghold-biased biome tags, so strongholds are biased toward generating in it. Tough As Nails lists it as a neutral biome.
The pack does not weight Overgrown Greens 6× during biome selection. The 6× list in Fear Nightfall covers the horror forests, bayous, caves and dead forests, so this biome keeps its normal share. It can generate 186 structures, including several of the horror structures listed below.
Features
Underground, the biome uses the vanilla ore set: dirt, gravel, granite, diorite, andesite and tuff clusters, then coal, iron, copper, gold, redstone, lapis lazuli and diamond, including the buried and large diamond variants. Biome-specific ores are added on top: infected diamond ore and infected deepslate diamond ore from Born in Chaos, black argillite, deepslate sulfur ore from Butchery, and Mithril ore from Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks.
The biome also contains vanilla lava lakes at the surface and underground, spring water and spring lava, vanilla amethyst geodes and vanilla monster rooms (dungeons). Wild crops from Farmer's Delight (wild carrots, wild onions and wild rice) and Supplementaries features (cave urns and wild Flax) are placed here.
Mobs and structures
Surface monsters spawn at equal weight (100) for spiders, skeletons, creepers and slimes, with zombies close behind at 95. The horror mobs follow: Ghoul (25), Slime Golem (25), Necromancer (18), Nightmare (7), Dread Hound (7) and Dark Vortex (7). The rarer entries include Nightmare Stalker (2) and Mutant Zombie (4).
Passive mobs are sheep, pigs, chickens, cows and ferrets. Coal golems and bats are the ambient mobs. Glow squids spawn in the underground water. Corpse Fish are among the rarer surface water creatures.
Structures include Graveyards with their haunted houses, Born in Chaos graves, Iron's Spells catacombs and gallows. The full mob and structure tables are generated below.

Tips
- Expect the horror mobs at night. The Necromancer, Nightmare and Dread Hound entries are the ones to plan for.
- A Pink Daffodil used in a suspicious stew gives invisibility. Pick the flower from its patch and craft the stew with a bowl.
- Watch for lava lakes at the surface and underground, and for spring lava near caves.
