Empyreal Wood is a wood set added by Biomes O' Plenty. It provides a log, wood, stripped variants, planks and the usual building and decorative blocks, along with a sapling, leaves, signs, hanging signs and boats. The set's trees generate only in the End Wilds biome, one of the End highlands biomes that the mod adds, so Empyreal Wood is found in the End rather than in the overworld. Fear Nightfall weights End Wilds more heavily than the other End highlands biomes.
Obtaining
Empyreal Wood items come from three sources: natural generation of the trees, crafting from the log, and the Wandering Trader.
Natural generation
Empyreal trees generate in the End Wilds biome (End Wilds). The biome uses only the Empyreal tree feature, so every tree placed there is an Empyreal tree. The trunk is between 3 and 12 blocks tall, and the canopy is made of Empyreal Leaves. Placement is abandoned if the space above the trunk is not clear for the trunk height plus 20 blocks, so trees only appear where there is open room above the ground.
Fear Nightfall weights End Wilds at 9 among the End highlands biomes, against 6 for End Reef and 3 for End Corruption. Vanilla End placement is otherwise unchanged.
Saplings
An Empyreal Sapling can be placed on End Stone, Unmapped End Stone, Null End Stone and Algal End Stone, in addition to the ground that normal saplings accept. The sapling grows in two stages. It advances through random ticks, and each use of Bone Meal has a 45% chance to advance it.
The tree that grows from the sapling has these traits:
- The trunk is made of Empyreal Log, placed vertically, and is between 3 and 12 blocks tall.
- At the top of the trunk, there is a 1-in-5 chance that the top log is replaced by Shroomlight.
- In half of all growths, the trunk gets a branched canopy of Empyreal Log, with Empyreal Leaves placed around it.

Stripped Empyreal Log is made by using an axe on Empyreal Log. Stripped Empyreal Wood is made from four stripped logs.
Trading
Empyreal Sapling is one of the rare listings of the Wandering Trader. It costs 5 emeralds for one sapling, with up to 4 uses per offer. Wandering Trader trades are gated by a config option, which is enabled by default. No villager profession sells Empyreal Wood items.

Usage
The log and wood have 2 hardness and 2 blast resistance, and the planks have 2 hardness and 3 blast resistance. The logs, wood, stripped variants, planks, slabs, stairs and fences are flammable, and each burns as furnace fuel for the amount listed in the items table.
The sapling and leaves are both compostable at 30%. Empyreal Leaves have 0.2 hardness and are flammable. Empyreal Sapling uses the axe as its correct tool, and Empyreal Leaves use the hoe.
The set includes buttons, pressure plates, trapdoors, fences, fence gates, doors, signs and hanging signs, each with the same behaviour as its vanilla counterpart. Empyreal Boat and Empyreal Boat with Chest are available for transport.
