Magnolia Woodland is a warm, humid forest biome added by Regions Unexplored. It is a rainy, humid forest of pale magnolia trees, flowering shrubs and tsubaki blossoms, and it sits where the vanilla cherry grove would otherwise generate. The biome is rare in Fear Nightfall, covering about 0.08% of the land surface, so it is an uncommon find on most maps. Its monster spawns include several horror mobs from the pack, so the biome is not a safe place to camp after dark.
Description
The biome has a temperature of 0.95 and a downfall of 0.8, and it receives rain rather than snow. The grass is tinted #9eca3b and the foliage #80bd29. Water is tinted #3f76e4, the fog is #c0d8ff, and the sky is #79a6ff.
The defining plants are magnolia trees, which come in three forms: plain magnolia, white magnolia and pink magnolia. Each has the same chance of being chosen when a tree is placed. Their wood is the Magnolia Wood set. Magnolia shrubs grow in the open ground between the trees, and the white and pink shrub variants are twice as likely to appear as the plain one. Tsubaki blossoms form patches on the ground, and single day lilies and sparse short grass fill the gaps.
Generation
Regions Unexplored places Magnolia Woodland in the climate range of the vanilla cherry grove, replacing part of that biome at the mod's default weight of 50. The biome is not one of the pack's 6x horror-weighted biomes, so it appears at normal frequency within its climate range. Its share of the land surface in Fear Nightfall is about 0.08%. Cave placement is also rare, at about 0.01% of the cave layer at y = -30.
Features
- Trees: Magnolia trees use custom trunk, foliage and root placers from the mod.
- Shrubs: Magnolia shrubs are placed as a group, with the plain, white and pink variants as described above.
- Flowers and plants: A tsubaki patch, a single day lily and a sparse short grass patch are placed in the biome. Tsubaki gives Instant Health for 3 seconds when made into suspicious stew.
- Ores: The biome has the standard vanilla ore set for the overworld, including coal, copper, iron, gold, lapis, redstone and diamond. The pack's added ores are also present: an infected diamond ore feature from Born in Chaos, a black argillite feature, and a mithril ore placement from Iron's Spellbooks.
- Other blocks: Pumpkin and sugar cane patches, silk cocoons and hanging silk cocoons from Critters and Companions, cave urns and wild flax from Supplementaries, and a stone cliff feature are placed in the biome.
Mobs and structures
The monster table is led by spiders, skeletons, creepers and slimes, with zombies close behind. Pack horror mobs also spawn here, most notably the Necromancer, the Dread Hound and the Dark Vortex. The rarest monsters include Krampus, the Lifestealer and the Mutant Enderman, each with a weight of 1. Passive animals include sheep, pigs, chickens, cows, foxes and crows. Golem spawns come from the Golem Overhaul mod, including slime golems among the monsters and honey golems among the passive mobs. Water creatures include Bluegill, Perch and Minnow in the water ambient group, and Glow Squid underground.
Structures are many and varied. The biome allows 167 structures from several mods, including Illager camps and illager hideouts from Nova Structures, the Catacombs from Iron's Spellbooks, and graveyards and hobbit holes from Formations Overworld.

Tips
- Expect rain here. The biome has a temperature of 0.95, so it does not snow.
- The monster table includes many horror mobs. Light the area and carry a shield or ranged weapon before dark.
- Tsubaki blossoms give Instant Health when made into suspicious stew, which is useful for a quick heal.
