Joshua Wood is a wood block added by Regions Unexplored as part of the Joshua wood set, one of the 22 tree wood sets the mod adds. It is the all-sides wood block made from Joshua Logs, and it is placed with an axis orientation like a log. Joshua trees grow in the Joshua Desert biome, but the wood block itself never generates in the world; players craft it, mainly as a building material, and the stripped form is crafted from stripped logs.
Obtaining
Joshua Wood is not generated in the world. Trees in the Joshua Desert generate a Joshua Log trunk, and a player who wants the wood block must craft it.

Four Joshua Logs craft three Joshua Wood, which is a 4-to-3 ratio. A player who breaks a natural Joshua tree gets logs, not wood, so the trunk must be crafted into wood before it can be used as a building block.
Natural generation
Joshua trees grow in the Joshua Desert, a desert biome that Regions Unexplored adds with a weight of 50 in place of part of the vanilla desert. Each chunk makes four placement attempts for a tree group. Each attempt picks one of three tree shapes by weight: small (4), medium (3) or large (2). The trees use Joshua Log for the trunk, Joshua Leaves for the canopy and Joshua Beard as branch blocks. The sapling must be able to survive on the ground at the chosen spot, and placement requires no surface water deeper than 0 blocks.
Joshua Desert also places Joshua Shrubs, which are a separate block from the wood set.
Usage
Joshua Wood is a building block with a hardness of 2, a blast resistance of 2 and an axe as the effective tool. These are the same values as Joshua Log. It is flammable. Its axis is set by how it is placed, so it can be used for beams in any direction.

Stripped form
Four Stripped Joshua Logs craft three Stripped Joshua Wood. Stripped Joshua Wood has the same hardness as Joshua Wood (2) and a blast resistance of 3, so it is the more blast-resistant of the two wood blocks.
