The Socotra Wood set is a family of wood blocks and items added by Regions Unexplored. It consists of a log, a wood block and their stripped variants, planks, stairs, slabs, fences, a fence gate, a door, a trapdoor, a pressure plate, a button, signs, a hanging sign, two boats, and the leaves, branch, sapling and shrub that belong to the same tree. Socotra trees are one of the tree types of the Dry Bushland biome, and Socotra shrubs appear in the Outback biome.

Obtaining

Socotra trees generate naturally in one biome and Socotra shrubs in two:

• Dry Bushland (a savanna replacement). The tree group picks one feature per tree attempt: a large Socotra tree, a small Socotra tree and an acacia tree each have weight 1, and an acacia shrub and an oak shrub each have weight 3. The shrub group weights Socotra shrubs at 3 and acacia shrubs at 1.
• Outback (a desert replacement). Socotra shrubs are placed here, with six placement attempts per chunk, alongside acacia shrubs.

Large Socotra trees use a trunk with a minimum size of 8 and a size variation of 5. Both tree types are placed only on blocks where a Socotra sapling can survive.

Four Socotra Logs make three Socotra Wood. One Socotra Log makes four Socotra Planks. Stripped logs and stripped wood are made by using an axe on a log or wood block.

Usage

Planks, stairs, slabs, fences, fence gates, doors, trapdoors, pressure plates and buttons are built from Socotra Planks, as shown in the recipes above. Signs use planks and a stick. Hanging signs use stripped Socotra Logs and chains.

Socotra Logs and planks are both fuel, giving 1.5 items of burn time each. The Socotra Boat and Socotra Boat with Chest give 6 items each. Socotra Leaves, Branches, Saplings and Shrubs can be composted at 30%, 30%, 30% and 65% respectively.

Socotra Shrubs are made from two Socotra Saplings, and a Socotra Sapling can be made from a Socotra Shrub. Socotra Branches are made from a Socotra Log and a stick.

The advancement "This Tree Bleeds Red" is earned by obtaining a Socotra Log.
