The Clover Plains is an overworld plains biome added by Regions Unexplored. It is the middle member of the mod's plains group, which splits vanilla plains into three biomes by temperature. Clover Plains is the flower-covered grassland of the pack: its grass and foliage are tinted a pale yellow-green, and it is covered in clover and lupine patches. It has many farm animals, but it lists 185 possible structures, and many of its structures and hostile mobs come from horror mods.
Description
Clover Plains has grass blocks on the surface with dirt and stone below. Grass and foliage are tinted #a3c563, a pale yellow-green. Water is #3f76e4, the fog is #c0d8ff and the sky is #79a6ff. The background music is the flower forest track, and ambient cave sounds play as in other biomes.
The biome's signature plant is the clover (regions_unexplored:clover), a ground-cover block that sits on top of grass. Each clover block holds between 1 and 4 flowers, placed in a random horizontal facing. Clover is a non-solid ground cover, so players and mobs walk through it. Clover grows in patches of up to 96 attempts per patch, spread 6 blocks horizontally and 2 blocks vertically, with three patches attempted per chunk. Lupine patches and short grass patches are placed in the same vegetation step. Clover is compostable, and it is tagged as a floral plant for the biome. The clover and lupine patches are added on top of the normal plains vegetation.
Generation
Clover Plains generates in the plains group of Regions Unexplored. Vanilla plains are split into three named biomes by temperature: Shrubland below a temperature of -0.1, Clover Plains between -0.1 and 0.2, and Grassland above 0.2. The three biomes share a group weight of 100, so Clover Plains takes its share only in the temperature band in which it is placed. It takes the place of vanilla plains in that band.
In Fear Nightfall, Clover Plains covers about 0.95% of the surface land, according to the pack's measured biome share. This is a moderate share compared with the mod's larger biomes. The pack did not change this biome's placement weight. It is not one of the horror biomes weighted 6× in the pack's biome changes.
The biome uses the plains villager type, so villagers that live here take the plains look. Its structures are described in the next section.
Server operators can disable or reweight the plains group in the mod's common.json config. Changes to this file are read at startup and most likely apply only to newly generated chunks.
Features
- Clover and lupines. Clover ground cover and lupine flowers cover much of the ground. Clover does not block movement.
- Short grass. A short-grass patch feature adds low grass across the biome.
- Ores. Clover Plains uses the vanilla overworld ore set for surface, underground and deep levels. The biome also contains mod ores from Born in Chaos (infected deepslate diamond ore, black argillite), Butchery (sulfur ore), and Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks (mithril ore).
- Cave urns and wild flax. Supplementaries adds cave urns and wild flax to the biome.
- Stone and gravel. Vanilla andesite, diorite, granite, tuff and gravel placements are present, with the usual vanilla ore distribution.
Mobs and structures
Clover Plains has a large hostile spawn table. Its hostile mob list includes the vanilla spider, skeleton, creeper, slime, zombie, enderman and witch, together with many monsters from Born in Chaos (among them the Dread Hound, the Bloody Gadfly and the Corpse Fly), from Graveyard, from the mutant and pumpkin families, and from several other mods. Most hostile mobs spawn in darkness, so the biome is a common place to meet monsters after dark.
The friendly mob list is more ordinary. Sheep, pigs, chickens, cows and horses spawn in good numbers, with ferrets, wolves and donkeys less common. The biome also has bats and ladybugs as ambient animals. Wolves here can have the chestnut variant. Fish and water creatures spawn in the lakes and rivers, and glow squid spawn in underground water.
About 185 structures can generate in Clover Plains. Many come from the Nova Structures, Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks, Born in Chaos, Graveyard, Formations Overworld and Structory Towers mods, and vanilla villages from several village sets also appear. Several of these are horror structures that the pack places closer together than usual, so a player who explores this biome will find a lot of them. Notable structures include the illager hideout, the catacombs, the clown caravan, the dark tower, the grave darktitan site and the graveyard. The generated tables in the section above list the exact mobs and loot.

Tips
- Clover Plains is a good place to find food animals. Sheep, cows, pigs and chickens spawn in numbers, so it suits a farm or breeding area close to a base.
- Because it is open and flat, you can see approaching threats from a long way off. Keep a light source nearby before dusk, since the biome's hostile spawn list is large and contains several strong mobs.
- Clover does not block movement, so you can cross patches freely.
- The graveyard and Born in Chaos structures hold some of the biome's most dangerous mobs. Enter them with full health and a plan for retreat.
- Many of the biome's ores come from other mods, so check the ore's own page for the tool it needs.
