Structory Towers are seven tower structures added by Structory: Towers, a mod that gives several biomes and both the Nether and the End their own themed towers. Four of them are the Overworld towers that share one placement set (Engineer, Lighthouse, Small Firetower and Wizard), a fifth is the Pillager Lookout, the only one of the seven with placed mobs, and the remaining two are the Nether fortress tower and the End tower. The mod's other structures are covered on Structory Outposts and Structory Temples and Landmarks. Players seek out towers for their chests, which include enchanted golden apples, diamonds and armor trim templates, and for the Pillager Lookout's hostile garrison.

Generation
All seven towers are jigsaw structures placed in the surface step of world generation. Each one is assigned to a placement set, which decides how often and where it is tried. The spacing values in the placement data are distances in chunks between candidate spots, and separation is the minimum distance in chunks between candidates. The values below are the in-game values on this pack, already scaled by the pack's Sparse Structures setting, and they are the figures the placement table below shows.
- Overworld towers. The Engineer, Lighthouse, Small Firetower and Wizard towers share one placement set with a spacing of 115 chunks and a placement frequency of 0.725. Each takes a 1 in 13 share of the set's picks, so they compete for the same spots and never stack on one another.
- Pillager Lookout. This tower sits in a smaller rare set with a spacing of 158 chunks and a frequency of 0.625. It takes a quarter of that set's picks. It is the only one of the seven observed in the 26 km² test sample (one per 26 km²), and it can generate in 131 biomes, the same biome tag that vanilla pillager outposts use. See Pillager Outposts.
- Nether fortress tower. It has the tightest spacing of the seven at 95 chunks, a frequency of 0.9, and takes 3 of 14 picks in its set. It generates in Nether biomes such as Nether Wastes, Soul Sand Valley, Crimson Forest, Warped Forest and Basalt Deltas.
- End tower. It has the widest spacing at 236 chunks and a frequency of 0.4, so the End tower is the least common of the seven. It generates only in the End's land biomes, including the End Highlands, End Midlands and End Barrens.
The Overworld towers are each tied to a biome family. The Engineer Tower is found in floodplains, mangrove swamps and bayous. The Lighthouse stands on several kinds of beach. The Small Firetower is found in birch forests and the groves that border them. The Wizard Tower is found in highland forests, shields and taiga. None of the Overworld towers is listed among the pack's horror structures. Non-horror structures are generally thinned out by the pack's Sparse Structures setting, so the towers are noticeably rarer than the mod's default spacing would give.
The pack runs version 1.0.10 of the mod. Later builds target a newer Minecraft version and crash on 1.21.1.
The pack's overlap guard removes the smaller of two overlapping surface structures. A tower whose footprint runs into a larger village or outpost from another mod may therefore not generate at all.
Layout
The towers are built from jigsaw pieces. The Small Firetower and the Wizard Tower use a maximum piece depth of 2, while the other five use a depth of 6, so the two shorter towers are built from fewer connected pieces and have a simpler footprint. Each tower type has between two and four building templates in its pool, so two towers of the same type can look different.
Terrain blending differs by type. The Overworld towers use thin terrain adaptation, which blends their base into the ground without filling in the space around them. The Nether fortress tower uses box adaptation, which fills the ground under its footprint. The End tower does no terrain adaptation.
The chest themes follow the tower type. The Lighthouse holds ocean loot, with sea pickles, prismarine, sea lanterns and nautilus shells. The Engineer Tower's workshop chests hold redstone parts, TNT and pistons. The Nether fortress tower's top chest is gold-themed, and the Pillager Lookout's chests hold outpost gear such as crossbows, emeralds and tripwire hooks.
Inhabitants
Only the Pillager Lookout places mobs. Its spawn override fills the hostile mob list across the whole structure with pillagers, one pillager per spawn. The other six towers place no mobs of their own. Mobs native to the biome can still spawn around any of them.
Loot
The top chest tables hold the most valuable loot, and the rarest entries carry the lowest weights in their tables. The items below are the ones to look for:
- Enchanted golden apples are in the Lighthouse top chest, both Wizard Tower chests, the End tower, the Nether fortress top chest and the Pillager Lookout top chest.
- Netherite scrap appears in the Engineer Tower's top chest, and lodestones in its basic chest. Both have low weights in their tables.
- Trident and heart of the sea come from the Lighthouse top chest, and the trident is one of the lower-weight entries.
- Diamonds appear in the Nether fortress, Wizard and Pillager top chests. Armor trim templates appear in those three and in the End tower.
The generated chest tables for each tower are listed below.
Tips
- Approach the Pillager Lookout from high ground or behind cover. Pillagers carry crossbows and can shoot at range, so close with them rather than standing in the open.
- Towers are spread far apart. Mark the position of any tower you find, since another one may be a long walk away.
- The End tower is the rarest of the seven, so plan the trip before you leave. Bring food, armor and a way back to base.
