Prismarite and Prismoss are a family of crystal, stone and glass blocks added by Regions Unexplored. The prismarite blocks are natural cave decoration, the prismoss blocks are a stone variant that covers cave floors, and prismaglass is a decorative glass that tints beacon beams. The blocks generate in the Prismachasm cave biome, so players who want them need to explore its caves.
Obtaining
The prismarite cluster family is generated naturally and cannot be crafted. Prismarite Clusters are placed on the floor of Prismachasm caves. The small cluster is weighted 5 and the large cluster is weighted 1 in the placement pool. Hanging Prismarite forms on cave ceilings in the same biome. Prismoss and Deepslate Prismoss are generated as surface blocks on stone and deepslate, and Prismoss Sprouts are generated in the same caves.
Prismoss Sprouts, Prismoss, Deepslate Prismoss and Prismaglass can be crafted.
Natural generation
- Prismarite Cluster: placed in Prismachasm caves on the floor, with up to 75 placement attempts per chunk. Each attempt scans down through air to a solid upward face, is shifted up or down by one block, and is kept only if the position is air and not within 4 blocks of a structure. The large cluster is a two-block tall block.
- Hanging Prismarite: placed in Prismachasm caves on ceilings, with up to 100 placement attempts per chunk. Each attempt builds short hanging pillars up to 5 blocks long, and the pillars are shaped as a column, a frustum and a tip.
- Prismoss and Deepslate Prismoss: the Prismachasm cave surface rules replace stone or deepslate floors with prismoss where the surface noise is above 0.06. Deepslate Prismoss appears where the deepslate gradient applies.
- Prismoss Sprout: placed in Prismachasm caves, with up to 100 placement attempts per chunk, on cave surfaces where air is above a solid face.

Usage
Prismarite clusters
Prismarite Cluster, Large Prismarite Cluster and Hanging Prismarite are decorative blocks. Each emits light level 10 and has a hardness of 0. Prismarite Cluster is the base ingredient for the other prismarite blocks, and it is a valid armor trim material. The clusters emit prismarite sparkle particles, and the Prismachasm cave biome plays the same particle as its ambient effect.
Hanging Prismarite has three shapes: tip, frustum and column. Each segment must rest on a solid face or on another Hanging Prismarite block, and it is removed if the support beneath it is lost.
Prismoss and Deepslate Prismoss
Prismoss has a hardness of 1.5 and a blast resistance of 6. Deepslate Prismoss has a hardness of 3 and the same blast resistance. Both require a pickaxe to drop. Without Silk Touch, Prismoss drops Cobblestone and Deepslate Prismoss drops Cobbled Deepslate. With Silk Touch, the block drops itself.
Prismoss is bonemeal-responsive. Applying bonemeal to a Prismoss block that has air above it converts each neighbouring stone block, and each neighbouring deepslate block, into Prismoss or Deepslate Prismoss with a 50% chance per neighbour. Where the converted block has air above it, a Prismoss Sprout is placed there with a 50% chance. Prismoss does not spread on its own through random ticks.
Prismoss can be turned into a path or stone by a shovel, as set up by the mod's shovel flattening map.
Prismoss Sprout
Prismoss Sprout is a non-solid plant block with an instant break time. It drops only when broken with shears. It has a compost chance of 20% and is flammable. It is placed only on cave surfaces, so it is found in the same caves as the Prismoss blocks.
Prismaglass
Prismaglass has a hardness of 0.3 and can be broken by any tool. It drops itself only with Silk Touch. It is a glass block and is part of the glass blocks tag, so it can be used wherever glass blocks are accepted in recipes.
Prismaglass is a beacon-tinting glass. Its beacon colour multiplier is a rainbow that scrolls with game time, so a beacon beam passing through Prismaglass shifts colour over time. The RGBeacon advancement is earned by placing Prismaglass on a beacon.
