The Alpha Wood set is an oak-like wood family added by Regions Unexplored. It provides the Alpha Log, Alpha Planks, Alpha Leaves, Alpha Sapling, the Alpha Grass Block and the usual full range of wood variants. Its planks can also be turned into several vanilla oak items.
The set has no unusual mechanics. Its logs, planks, stairs and slabs burn like vanilla wood, and the sapling grows into a tree.
Obtaining
Alpha trees grow naturally in the Alpha Grove biome. The biome also replaces part of vanilla Mushroom Fields at a weight of 20, alongside Ashen Woodland and Tropics. Each tree is placed by the alpha_oak configured feature, which builds a straight trunk of 4 to 6 Alpha Logs (a base height of 4 plus a random 0 to 2) with a blob-shaped crown of Alpha Leaves.
Alpha Planks are made from Alpha Logs, and the rest of the set is made from the planks.
Crafting
Alpha Logs are the source of the whole set. One log yields four planks, and every other block in the set is crafted from those planks. The planks can also be made into vanilla oak items, including oak buttons, doors, fences, fence gates, pressure plates, signs, hanging signs, trapdoors and boats.
Usage
The wood is used for building and decoration. Logs, planks, stairs and slabs are mined with an axe, the Alpha Grass Block with a shovel, and the Alpha Leaves with a hoe. The slab has a hardness of 1.5, while the logs and planks have a hardness of 2.

Alpha Grass Block
The Alpha Grass Block is mined with a shovel and has a snowy state. When any tree trunk is placed, the trunk placer converts the Alpha Grass under the trunk to vanilla dirt, so a tree leaves ordinary dirt under its base.
