Larch Wood is a wood set added by Regions Unexplored. It includes a log, wood, stripped log and stripped wood, planks, stairs, slabs, fences, a fence gate, a door, a trapdoor, a button, a pressure plate, a sign, a hanging sign, a boat and a boat with chest, along with a sapling, leaves, a shrub and a branch block. A golden variant of the sapling, leaves and shrub is also part of the set. Larch trees grow in the boreal taiga biomes, and the golden variant is part of the same tree selection.
Obtaining
Larch trees generate in the boreal taiga biomes added by Regions Unexplored, such as Boreal Taiga. In the boreal taiga tree selection, the standard larch tree has the highest weight, followed by the golden larch tree and a larch-pine variant. Each larch tree places a larch branch on its trunk with a 10% chance per candidate position. Fallen larch logs also generate on the ground in several taiga biomes.
Saplings, leaves and shrubs are the non-log blocks of the set. Larch shrubs and saplings can be crafted into each other; see Branches and Shrubs for the general shrub recipes.
Crafting
Larch planks are made from larch logs or any other larch log-type block. Larch wood is made from four larch logs, and stripped larch wood is made from four stripped larch logs. The recipe grids for every block in the set are listed below.

Usage
Larch Wood is a building wood with the same general uses as vanilla oak. Logs and wood have a hardness of 2 and a blast resistance of 2 (logs) or 3 (stripped logs and wood). Planks, stairs, slabs, fences, doors and trapdoors have a hardness of 2 to 3 and a blast resistance of 3. Larch logs and planks are fuel: a log or plank smelts for 1.5 items, and a slab for 0.75. Every block in the set is flammable.
Larch leaves have a compost chance of 30%, and larch shrubs have a compost chance of 65%.
Boats
A larch boat is made from five larch planks. Combining a larch boat with a chest makes a larch boat with chest. A larch boat is also one of the ingredients of the cannon boat recipe.
Crafting ingredient
Larch planks are the most common ingredient in the set. They are used in trapdoors, doors, fences, signs, buttons, pressure plates and boats.

Fear Nightfall changes
Fear Nightfall places horror structures roughly 30% closer together than the unmodified mods do. The pack's horror content is concentrated in temperate-to-cool, humid forests, taigas and swamps, where about a quarter of the biomes are horror biomes. Larch groves in boreal taiga are therefore more likely to sit near horror structures than groves in drier biomes, so treat taiga as a dangerous area at night.
