The Mycotoxic Plants are a set of four Nether blocks added by Regions Unexplored: Mycotoxic Mushrooms, Mycotoxic Daisy, Mycotoxic Grass and Mycotoxic Moss. Three of them are plants that grow on the Nether floor, and the fourth is the nylium that the plants grow from. They are the main ground cover of the Mycotoxic Undergrowth biome, a Nether biome that replaces part of the vanilla Nether Wastes. Three of the four blocks are compostable, and all four stack to 64.

Obtaining

The plants are not craftable. They are only found in the world.

  • Mycotoxic Mushrooms (Mycotoxic Mushrooms) generate in patches of up to 32 attempts, spread 7 blocks horizontally and 3 vertically, in the Mycotoxic Undergrowth biome. Each patch is placed on air above the floor.
  • Mycotoxic Daisy (Mycotoxic Daisy) is a two-block-tall plant. It generates in patches of up to 16 attempts over the same area in the same biome, and a single placement fills both halves.
  • Mycotoxic Grass (Mycotoxic Grass) generates in patches of up to 32 attempts in the same biome.
  • Mycotoxic Moss (Mycotoxic Moss) is a nylium block. It is generated by the Nether surface rules in several Nether biomes, not only Mycotoxic Undergrowth. It is the block that the plants grow on, and it is not a plant.

Breaking Mycotoxic Moss requires a pickaxe.

Usage

Bone meal on Mycotoxic Moss spreads Mycotoxic Grass around the target block, spreading up to 3 blocks wide and 1 block high. Each spread block is Mycotoxic Grass with a 95% chance and a Yellow Bioshroom with a 5% chance.

Mycotoxic Mushrooms can be planted on Mycotoxic Moss, which is in the mushroom growth block tag. Endermen can pick up Mycotoxic Moss, as they can with other nylium blocks.

Compost chances in a composter:

Item Compost chance
Mycotoxic Mushrooms 10%
Mycotoxic Grass 20%
Mycotoxic Daisy 30%

Mycotoxic Moss is not compostable.

Mycotoxic Mushrooms emit light at level 6, and Mycotoxic Daisy emits light at level 4.

Mycotoxic Undergrowth

The Mycotoxic Undergrowth biome is the source of most Mycotoxic Plants. It replaces part of the Nether Wastes with a weight of 60. Its surface features are Mycotoxic Mushrooms, Mycotoxic Grass, Mycotoxic Daisy and Yellow Bioshrooms, and it also has a tree feature. Its ambient effects use a warped forest sound set, and it emits a Mycotoxic Spore particle at a 1% chance.

The biome's mobs are the vanilla Nether ones: Zombified Piglins (4 per group, weight 100), Piglins (3 to 4 per group, weight 5) and Striders (1 to 2 per group, weight 60).

Items

Each block is listed below. The table is generated from the game data.

  • Mycotoxic Mushrooms are the mushroom in the set. They are tagged as food for ladybugs and roly polys in Critters and Companions, and as bait plants for Tide.
  • Mycotoxic Daisy is a two-block-tall flower with no tool requirement.
  • Mycotoxic Grass is a short plant with no tool requirement and no hardness.
  • Mycotoxic Moss is the nylium that the set grows on. It takes 0.4 seconds to break with a pickaxe.
