The White Cliffs is a rain-fed biome added by Terralith. It is a stone-heavy biome with pale calcite and diorite and andesite outcrops, and it is one of the rarer Terralith biomes in Fear Nightfall. Its surface is largely exposed stone, which makes it a useful place to look for ore, but its monster table includes several of the pack's horror mobs, including Revenant, Necromancer and Dread Hound.
The biome is classed as cold by Terralith's tags, with a temperature of 0.4 and a downfall of 0.3. Its precipitation is rain.
Description
The White Cliffs is built from pale stone. Calcite is set into the stone in large veins, and diorite and andesite patches break up the rock so that the cliff faces show mixed pale tones. Moss patches grow on parts of the surface.
Vegetation is sparse. Small birch trees grow in scattered clumps, with glow lichen, mushrooms, sugar cane and pumpkin patches on the low ground. Flower patches, badlands-style grass patches, Farmer's Delight wild carrots and onions, and Supplementaries wild flax are also placed here.
The biome colours are a deep blue water (#3f76e4), a pale blue fog (#c0d8ff) and a light blue sky (#7da2ff). The biome plays the cave mood sound (minecraft:ambient.cave) at intervals of 6000 ticks. The cave and canyon carvers both cut into the cliffs.
Generation
The White Cliffs is one of the Terralith biomes in Fear Nightfall's custom biome table. In each climate cell, it shares the space with the other biomes whose original mods allow it there, in proportion to their weights. It makes up about 0.02% of the land surface in the pack, so a player will rarely see it unless they search for it.
The biome is not one of the pack's 6× horror-weighted biomes. Its monster table still includes many pack mobs from Born in Chaos, Graveyard and Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks, alongside the vanilla mobs.
Up to 171 structures can generate in the White Cliffs. These include vanilla-style villages and outposts from several mods, the Luki's Grand Capitals taiga village and pillager outpost, and the horror structures listed below.
Features
The biome's terrain features are Terralith's white cliff set, plus shared features from the pack's mods.
- Calcite: calcite is placed into stone in large veins between Y 62 and Y 164, in many attempts per chunk. This gives the cliffs their pale colour.
- Diorite and andesite: seed and crack features replace diorite with andesite, and place diorite and andesite patches in the stone. The andesite cracks run from Y 64 to Y 164.
- Ores: the biome uses the full vanilla overworld ore set, including coal, iron, copper, gold, redstone, lapis and diamond, with diamond placed in standard, medium, large and buried variants. Born in Chaos adds black argillite and infected diamond ore, Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks adds mithril ore, and Butchery adds sulfur ore in deepslate, along with salt deposits.
- Special features: Terralith's lava lakes, amethyst geodes, monster rooms (both shallow and deep), underwater magma, and sand, clay and gravel disks. Spring water and spring lava appear in the stone.
- Pack features: Stony Cliffs adds its cliff feature here. Supplementaries adds cave urns and wild flax. Farmer's Delight adds wild carrots and wild onions.
Mobs and structures
The monster table is the largest part of the biome's spawn list. Vanilla spiders, skeletons, creepers and slimes each have a spawn weight of 100, with zombies at 95. The pack's additions are mixed in with them:
- Revenant (weight 25) and Slime Golem (weight 25)
- Necromancer (weight 18)
- Dread Hound (weight 7) and Dark Vortex (weight 7)
- Krampus (weight 1)
Water spawns include the standard fish set, along with several pack fish that spawn in the underground water of the cliffs. Glow squid spawn in underground water. Bats spawn in the ambient category.
The full spawn tables and the structure list are generated in the table below.

Tips
- Bring torches. The monster table is weighted toward hostile mobs, so light the areas you mine and camp in.
- The White Cliffs is a good ore area. Diamond, lapis and iron are all placed in the stone, so a cliff face is a useful place to search.
- Revenants and necromancers are among the more common horror mobs here. Keep an escape route ready before mining deep into the cliff face.
- Underground water holds glow squid and cave fish, so do not assume a flooded cave is empty.
