Notice Board and Blackboard cover six blocks and items added by Supplementaries: the Notice Board, the Blackboard, the Globe, the Sepia Globe, the Clock Block and Antique Ink. The Notice Board holds a single book, map or banner pattern and can be turned to the next page with redstone. The Blackboard is a wall block whose front face is drawn on with chalk items. The Globe and Sepia Globe are decorative blocks that spin when used. The Clock Block shows the time of day, and Antique Ink gives signs and written books an antique appearance.
Obtaining
Crafting
The Notice Board is made from oak planks and paper, the Blackboard from oak slabs, blackstone and nether quartz, and the Clock Block from a clock and oak planks. The Sepia Globe is made from a Globe and Antique Ink, and the Globe is made from a Sepia Globe and soap, so the two globe types are crafted from each other.
Loot and drops
Globes are the only item on this page that appears in chest loot. A Globe has a 24.3% chance per chest, averaging 1.0 per chest, in the shipwreck treasure table. That table feeds several structures from other mods, including the Bamboo and Cherry raft structures from Adorabuild, the Mediterranean village exclusive from Towns and Towers and the large floating island from MVS. The Globe also has a 24.0% chance per chest in the mausoleum pot table from Explorify, and an 8.3% chance per chest in the Galleon chest table.
Antique Ink is added to fishing loot through a global loot modifier, for both regular fishing and fishing treasure. The Notice Board, Blackboard, Clock Block and Sepia Globe do not appear in chest loot.
| Item | Chest loot table | Structures | Chance per chest | Avg. stack |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Globe | minecraft:chests/shipwreck_treasure | Bamboo Raft 1, Cherry Raft 1, Large Floating Island, Village Mediterranean +7 | 24.3% | 1.0 |

Usage
Notice Board
The Notice Board is a wall-mounted block with one item slot and one line of text on its front face. A right-click on the front face places a valid item: a lectern book (written, writable and similar books), a map or a banner pattern. When the Exposure and ComputerCraft mods are installed, picture items and printed books are also accepted. Shift-right-clicking with an empty hand removes the item and drops it in front of the board. Otherwise a right-click opens the text editing screen, if the Notice Board GUI option is enabled.
The text line is limited to 90 pixels in width. Redstone turns the page. When a signal first reaches the board, the board turns one page and plays a page-turn sound. While the board holds an item, it outputs a comparator signal from 1 to 15 that rises with the page progress. An empty board outputs 0.
Blackboard
The Blackboard is a wall-mounted block with a drawable front face. Drawing uses chalk items, which are recognised by item tags. By default only white and black chalk are recognised. The coloured blackboard option, which defaults to on when the Chalk mod is loaded, enables the other dye colours. Each right-click on the front face with chalk sets one pixel of the drawing. A Blackboard can be made to glow with a glow ink sac, and waxing it locks the drawing: a waxed board cannot be drawn on or opened in its GUI.
The default interaction mode allows both drawing and the GUI. A right-click on the front face with chalk draws, and other right-clicks open the board's GUI, unless the board is waxed. A brush item skips the block's default interaction. The Blackboard recipe makes two boards per craft.
Globe and Sepia Globe
The Globe is a block that spins when right-clicked and plays a sound. It has four rotation positions, and its redstone signal output depends on its rotation. When redstone first powers the globe, it spins. Shears toggle a shearing state on the globe, and spinning the globe very fast awards the Adventure: Globe advancement. A Globe that has a custom name keeps it when picked up.
The Sepia Globe is a Globe variant made with Antique Ink. Both globe types use the same block class and the same item tag, so mods and recipes that refer to globes treat them alike.
Clock Block
The Clock Block is a wall-mounted block that shows the current hour when right-clicked. Its hour state runs from 0 to 23 and is set from the game time when the block is placed. Using a Clock Block on the back of an existing Clock Block makes that block two-faced, so both sides show the time. The block emits light at level 1.
Antique Ink
Antique Ink stacks to 64. Used on a sign, it gives the sign an antique appearance. Used on a written or writable book, it sets the book's text to the antique font and its generation to 3 (tattered). The item is needed to craft the Sepia Globe. It is found in fishing loot and cartographer trades. The item can be turned off with the Antique Ink config option.
