Display Blocks are six decorative and functional items added by Supplementaries: the Pedestal, Goblet, Item Shelf, Crystal Display, Statue and Hat Stand. Five of them are blocks that show one item, one fluid or one redstone reading on their surface. The Hat Stand is an item that places an entity which holds a single helmet. Each is a building block first, with a small mechanic attached: pedestals boost enchanting, goblets glow and can be drunk from, shelves can work as ladders, crystals read redstone strength, and statues pose around the item they hold.
Obtaining
All six are crafted. No recipe needs a Supplementaries-only ingredient, so the crafting grids below use ordinary vanilla materials. The recipes are listed in the table at the bottom of the page.

Usage
Pedestal
The Pedestal is a stackable block with a flat top that holds one item. Right-clicking the top with an item places it on the pedestal, and the displayed item is handled through the same interaction. Middle-clicking the top of a pedestal that holds an item picks that item instead of the pedestal.
Pedestals connect to each other vertically. A pedestal placed directly above another pedestal joins it, and the lower pedestal then has no usable top for display. A solid block directly above a pedestal also turns its top off, so it can no longer hold an item.
Right-clicking a pedestal that holds an item with a Sack swaps them. The sack is placed on the pedestal and the item it displaced goes into the player's hand.
An end crystal placed on a pedestal gives the nearby enchanting table an enchantment power bonus equal to 3 bookshelves. The value is set by the crystal_enchanting option, which ranges from 0 to 100 and is off on Fabric.
Goblet
The Goblet is a small cup that holds one fluid. Right-clicking it with a fluid container fills it. Right-clicking it with an empty hand, without sneaking, drinks the fluid, and a successful drink awards the goblet advancement. Drinking is controlled by the allow_drinking option, which is on by default.
A goblet glows with the luminosity of the fluid it holds, from 0 to 15 light level. An empty goblet emits no light. A goblet that holds any fluid outputs a redstone comparator signal of 15, and an empty one outputs 0. Potion fluids leave colored particles drifting above the cup.
Item Shelf
The Item Shelf is a wall-mounted block with one item slot. It must be placed against a block that is not air, and it breaks if that block is removed. Right-clicking it inserts or removes an item, and breaking it drops the stored item. A shelf holding an item outputs a redstone comparator signal of 15, and an empty one outputs 0. Light passes through it freely.
Shelves can be made climbable like a ladder by enabling the climbable_shelves option, which is off by default.
Crystal Display
The Crystal Display is a wall-mounted block that shows redstone signal strength. It reads the strongest signal around it, from 0 to 15, and updates whenever a neighbouring block changes. It emits light at level 6 whenever the stored strength is above 0. Its visual state is driven by the stored strength, so it works well as a readout for a redstone line.
The chaining option, on by default, lets two crystal displays placed side by side act as a pair. When the master display receives more than 10 signal, it shows the signal modulo 10, and the display next to it is lit from the master's signal divided by 10. Two displays can therefore show values up to 15. The pair only works when no redstone block sits directly behind the slave display.
Statue
The Statue is a block that displays one item. The pose of the statue depends on the item. Empty statues stand still. Swords and tools give the statue a matching pose, a globe or sepia globe gives a globe pose, and a candle gives a candle pose. Any other item is held in the statue's hands.
A candle displayed on a statue is lit and lights the block to level 7. Statues powered by a redstone signal wave. A statue that holds an item outputs a redstone comparator signal of 15.
A statue with a custom name that matches a player's username is given that player's skin. The custom name is kept when the statue is picked up, and the displayed item drops when the statue is broken.
Hat Stand
The Hat Stand is an item that places a stand entity on the face of a block. The stand is a living entity with 20 health, which is 10 hearts. It is not a block. Explosions dismantle it.
By default the stand accepts only items that can be worn on the head. Right-clicking it with a helmet-type item equips the head slot, and right-clicking it with an empty hand removes the item in the head slot. Sneak-right-clicking only plays a swing animation. The unrestricted option, off by default, allows any item to be placed in the head slot.
Hat stands cannot be placed on the bottom face of a block. Place the item against the side or top of a block instead.
Items
Each block has a single stackable item form, so the table below lists all six. The Hat Stand is the only one that is an entity once placed.
