The Claret Wood is a wood set added by Jaden's Nether Expansion (netherexp). It provides planks, slab, stairs, fence, fence gate, door, trapdoor, button, pressure plate, standing sign, hanging sign, and stripped stem and stripped hyphae blocks. Claret Planks are the base material for most of the set. The set is used for building and decoration.

Jaden's Nether Expansion treats the set as wood in three ways. Its items are removed from the furnace fuel list, so they do not burn in a furnace. They are listed in the non-flammable wood tag. They are mineable with an axe, and they are included in the vanilla wooden block tags for doors, trapdoors, fences, fence gates, buttons, pressure plates, slabs, stairs and signs.

Obtaining

Natural generation and drops

No biome feature, structure or chest loot table in the mod's data places a claret block, and no mob drops one. The raw logs of the set are the Cerebrage Claret Stem and Cerebrage Claret Hyphae blocks (see Cerebrage).

Claret Planks are shapeless. Any one of the four stem and hyphae blocks (Cerebrage Claret Stem, Cerebrage Claret Hyphae, Stripped Claret Stem and Stripped Claret Hyphae) gives two planks. Stripped Claret Hyphae is made from four Stripped Claret Stems in a 2x2 grid and gives three blocks. The Claret Hanging Sign uses Stripped Claret Stems together with chains. The table above gives the ingredient counts and outputs for every recipe.

Usage

Building

The set's blocks use the same block classes as their vanilla wood equivalents. Doors, trapdoors, fence gates, buttons and pressure plates behave like their vanilla versions, and the stairs and slabs match the planks for floors and roofs. The hardness and blast resistance of each block are listed in the table below.

The signs use the vanilla sign block entity types, so they can hold text like other signs. Because the set appears in the vanilla wooden tags, mods and datapacks that check those tags treat claret blocks as wood.
