The Hogham is a raw meat item added by Jaden's Nether Expansion (netherexp). It takes the place of porkchop in the loot of hoglins and in several bastion chests, so Hogham is found in the Nether rather than farmed. Raw Hogham can be eaten directly, but it applies Weakness I. Once cooked it becomes Cooked Hogham, the better food, which is also an ingredient in two Nether Expansion recipes: Roasted Bone, which uses Cerebrage, and Nether Pizza.

Both forms are tagged as meat and as piglin food, which places them alongside vanilla meats in the Nether item tags.

Obtaining

Hogham is not generated naturally in the world. It is only obtained from loot, so the sources are the hoglin drops and the structure chests listed below.

Raw Hogham cannot be crafted. Cooked Hogham is made by cooking Raw Hogham in a furnace (200 ticks), a smoker (100 ticks) or a campfire (600 ticks). Each method gives 0.35 experience. The smoker is the fastest method and the campfire the slowest.

Loot and drops

Hogham comes from the following sources:

• Hoglin death drops. The loot table of every hoglin replaces its porkchop with Raw Hogham, and its cooked porkchop with Cooked Hogham.
• Bastion hoglin stable chests. The hoglin stable chest of the bastion (minecraft:chests/bastion_hoglin_stable) receives Raw Hogham in place of porkchop, and Cooked Hogham in place of cooked porkchop. The general bastion chest table (minecraft:chests/bastion_other) receives Cooked Hogham in place of cooked porkchop.
• Sanctum food chests. The food chest of the Sanctum (netherexp:chests/sanctum_food) has one roll that picks either Mutton or Raw Hogham, with equal weight. A Hogham result gives 3 to 4 Raw Hogham. Sanctums are placed in Soul Sand Valley, where the mod also adds Apparitions, Ecto Slabs, Stampedes and Vessels, so the chest is reached through hostile territory.

Usage

Eating

Raw Hogham restores 6 hunger points and 7.2 saturation. Eating it applies Weakness I for 60 seconds with a 90% chance. Cooked Hogham restores 8 hunger points and 12.8 saturation and applies no effect, so it is the stronger food.

Cooking

Cooked Hogham is the output of the furnace, smoker and campfire recipes described above. Because the smoker is the fastest method, it is the quickest way to make large batches of Cooked Hogham.

Crafting ingredient

Cooked Hogham is used in two recipes:

• Roasted Bone yields 3 items. It is a 3x3 shaped recipe that uses Cooked Hogham, a Cerebrage, Warped Fungus, a Fire Charge and three bones.
• Nether Pizza is a 3x3 shaped recipe that uses two Cooked Hogham, a Warped Wart, three Glowcheese, two Bread and a Nether Wart. It yields one Nether Pizza, a food block that can be eaten in slices.
