The Presents and Confetti group is a set of festive and novelty items added by Supplementaries. It consists of 16 colours of Present and 16 colours of Trapped Present, the Confetti Popper, and Candy. A Present is a wrapped block that holds one item and can carry a recipient, sender and description. A Trapped Present is a booby trap that fires its stored item when it is opened or powered by redstone. The Confetti Popper is a novelty item that throws a burst of confetti and can turn a creeper into a festive one. Candy is a sweet food with a short-term sugar side effect.
Obtaining
The items on this page are crafted. The only chest source listed for them is Candy in the chests of the Galleon shipwreck structure (see the loot table below). During the Christmas festivity, with the Present option of the Supplementaries configuration enabled, the results of wrapped villager trades are delivered inside a public Present sent by the trader (see Villager Trades).
Crafting
Presents are crafted from eight Paper. Trapped Presents are crafted from eight Paper around a tripwire hook. When Create is installed, Cardboard can replace the Paper in both recipes. A Confetti Popper is crafted from three White Dye (or any of the other fifteen dyes), three Paper and Gunpowder, and yields two. Candy is crafted from Sugar, Paper and a honey bottle, and yields eight.
Two dye recipes change the colour of existing items. A Present is recoloured by crafting it with a single dye. A Confetti Popper is recoloured by crafting it with up to four dyes, and the dyes set the colours of the confetti it throws.

Candy is the only item on this page with a loot entry. The chest table above lists its chance per galleon chest and its average count.
Usage
Present
A Present is a block with one item slot. Opening it shows a single-slot menu. The slot accepts any item that can be stored in a shulker box, except another Present. Presents cannot be placed inside another Present.
Presents are packed from the Present screen. The screen has a pack button, a recipient field with player name suggestions, and a description field. An empty recipient makes the Present public. A packed Present shows its closed lid and cannot receive items. Packing and unpacking play a sound.
A packed Present can only be opened by the named recipient, by anyone if it is public, or by its sender. Creative-mode players can open any Present. Any other player who right-clicks a packed Present sees a message naming the recipient. Breaking a Present returns it as an item with its contents, recipient, sender and description preserved.
Trapped Present
A Trapped Present is a booby trap with a one-item slot. An empty Trapped Present opens like a Present and accepts an item. Once it holds an item it is primed, and right-clicking it no longer opens it. Instead it detonates.
When a Trapped Present detonates, the stored item is fired by its fire behaviour, and the trap goes on cooldown for 10 ticks (half a second). The item is consumed when it is fired. Items with a dedicated behaviour include:
- TNT, which explodes.
- Spawn eggs, which spawn their mob.
- Firework rockets, ender pearls and fire charges, which are launched as projectiles.
- Armour stands and hat stands, which are placed as entities.
- Confetti Poppers, which burst confetti.
Other items are launched as a generic projectile or spat out. A redstone signal reaching a primed Trapped Present detonates it. Opening an empty Trapped Present angers nearby piglins. The same behaviour applies to all 16 colours.
Confetti Popper
A Confetti Popper is used by right-clicking it. This throws a burst of confetti in the direction the player is facing and consumes one popper. Its colours come from the dyes it was crafted with.
A Confetti Popper can also be placed as a block. A normal click places it only on an existing confetti block, which adds one layer, up to four layers per block. Sneaking places it on any valid surface. A placed popper is a flat layer of confetti that rests on a solid block below it.
A Confetti Popper can be used on a creeper that is neither ignited nor already festive. This consumes one popper and makes the creeper festive. A festive creeper wears a party hat, and when it would explode it releases a confetti burst instead. The explosion does not happen and deals no damage. The festive state is saved with the creeper. Confetti Poppers can also be fired from a cannon and stored in a Trapped Present.
Candy
Candy is a fast-eating food with a nutrition value of 1 and a saturation of 0.4. It can be eaten at any hunger level.
Eating Candy adds 10 seconds to a sugar counter kept for each player. The counter drains by one per game tick. When the counter goes above 80 seconds, the player gets Nausea for 20 seconds. Each further Candy eaten while the counter is above 80 seconds reapplies the effect. The counter is removed when it reaches zero.
Items
- Present and Trapped Present are the 16-colour containers described above. Each colour has its own variant of both, and the table below lists them.
- Confetti Popper is the novelty item that throws confetti, and it is also a placeable confetti block.
- Candy is the food item with the sugar counter.
