Farmer's Delight Ingredients are intermediate food items added by Farmer's Delight that are used to build its meals, sandwiches and other dishes. They include cut and cooked meats and fish, minced beef, beef patties, fried eggs, wheat dough, raw pasta, ham and smoked ham. Most are made from vanilla raw meat on a Cutting Board, then cooked in a campfire, smoker or furnace. Raw meat cuts are a cheap way to turn one vanilla animal drop into two ingredients, so the cutting board is the main early-game bottleneck for the mod's food chains.

Crafting recipes in this group are limited to wheat dough, which is made from three Wheat and one egg.

Most other ingredients are made on a Cutting Board. Each cutting board recipe takes one raw or cooked food and produces two cuts, with a bone meal or bone as a by-product:

• Raw chicken becomes two raw chicken cuts and bone meal. Cooked chicken becomes two cooked chicken cuts and bone meal.
• Raw porkchop becomes two raw bacon. Ham becomes two raw porkchops and a bone. Smoked ham becomes two cooked porkchops and a bone.
• Raw beef becomes two minced beef.
• Raw mutton becomes two raw mutton chops. Cooked mutton becomes two cooked mutton chops.
• Raw cod and raw salmon become two raw slices each, with bone meal. Cooked cod and cooked salmon become two cooked slices each, with bone meal.
• Wheat dough is cut into raw pasta.

Cooked versions are made by heating the raw ingredient in a campfire (600 ticks), a furnace (200 ticks) or a smoker (100 ticks). Each recipe yields experience of 0.35. The results are:

• Minced beef becomes a beef patty.
• Raw bacon becomes cooked bacon.
• Raw chicken cuts become cooked chicken cuts.
• Raw cod slices become cooked cod slices.
• Raw salmon slices become cooked salmon slices.
• Raw mutton chops become cooked mutton chops.
• Ham becomes smoked ham, only in the smoker (200 ticks).
• Fried egg is cooked from a raw egg in any of the three heat sources.

Ham and smoked ham are the most common loot. Both are found in the bastion hoglin stable chests. Village butcher chests give minced beef, raw bacon and mutton chops in about a third of chests. Structure chests in the pack use the Farmer's Delight loot tables alongside the vanilla tables, so the same items appear in multiple structures.

Knife scavenging adds more drops. When a player kills a pig or hoglin while holding a knife, the mob can drop ham or smoked ham, with the Looting enchantment increasing the drop count. See Knives for the full list of knife drops.

Ingredients are not usually eaten directly. They are the inputs for the Cooking Pot, which turns them into meals, and for the crafting grid, where they make sandwiches, wraps and rolls. Some cooking pot recipes need specific ingredients, for example raw pasta with tomato sauce and minced beef for pasta with meatballs.

Cutting Board ingredients

The cutting board recipes for these ingredients have fixed outputs, with no chance roll. A dispenser can operate a cutting board placed in front of it, using stored items as tools. See Cutting Boards for the mechanics.

Cooked meat and fish

Cooked cuts and slices are the most useful form of these ingredients for eating. Their hunger and saturation values are higher than the raw form, and cooked ingredients do not carry the hunger effect that raw meat does.

Raw cuts, pasta and dough carry Hunger I for 30 seconds at a 30% chance. Cooked forms do not. This is the main reason to cook them before eating.

Wheat dough and raw pasta

Wheat dough is cooked into bread in the smoker and furnace, and it is a cooking pot ingredient for dumplings. Raw pasta is a cooking pot ingredient for pasta dishes and noodle soups. Raw pasta can also be composted, with a compost chance of 85%.

Ham

Ham is a food item with 5 hunger and 3 saturation. Smoked ham is one of the most filling items in the mod, with 10 hunger and 16 saturation. It is an ingredient for the honey glazed ham feast, and the cutting board can turn it back into two cooked porkchops.
