Feasts are placeable food blocks added by Farmer's Delight. Each feast is a solid block that holds several servings of a meal. A player right-clicks it to take one serving at a time until it is empty. The mod adds ten feast blocks, each matching a bowl or plate meal from the Cooking Pot or a crafting recipe. Feasts let a single placed object feed a group, so they are useful for a base, a shared farm or a long trip away from the kitchen.
Each feast serves a meal that is also sold as a separate item, such as a bowl of Shepherd's Pie. The bowl meals are the core of the mod's food system and grant the Nourishment effect, which stops hunger from draining while it is active. Feasts let one placed block feed several servings, which suits a base or a shared farm.
Obtaining
Nine of the ten feasts are made at a crafting table, and each of those recipes uses a Bowl. Stuffed Pumpkin is cooked in the Cooking Pot. The full ingredient lists are in the recipe grids below.
Crafting
Cooking Pot · Cooking Pot · 20 s, 2 XPCooking Pot
Stuffed Pumpkin is the only feast made in the Cooking Pot. Its recipe takes 400 ticks (20 seconds) and uses Rice, Onion, Brown Mushroom, Potato and Sweet Berries. Each ingredient has accepted alternatives, as listed in the recipe grid above. The recipe uses a pumpkin as its container.
Usage
Feasts are placed like other blocks. The block must rest on a solid block and breaks if that block is removed. Each feast faces away from the player who placed it. Feasts have 0.5 hardness and are mined with an axe. Pistons destroy them instead of moving them.
A feast starts with 4 servings, except Rice Roll Medley, which starts with 8. Each right-click takes one serving and removes one from the block. The number of servings left is stored in the block and can be read with a comparator, which outputs a signal equal to the servings remaining.
Serving containers
Most feasts serve their food in a Bowl. Taking a serving requires holding an empty Bowl in the hand used to right-click. One Bowl is used up for each serving taken, except in creative mode. If the held item is not the required container, the block shows a message that it needs one and nothing is taken. The serving goes into the player's inventory, and any serving that does not fit is dropped on the ground.
Rice Roll Medley is the exception. Its servings need no container, so each right-click gives a roll directly.
Empty feasts
What happens to a feast at zero servings depends on its type:
- Stuffed Pumpkin is removed as soon as its last serving is taken.
- Roast Chicken, Honey Glazed Ham, Shepherd's Pie, Gleaming Salad and Rice Roll Medley stay in place at zero servings. The next right-click on the empty block removes it.
An empty block that remains still gives a comparator signal of 0 and can be left in place as decoration.
Meal values
The bowl meals share these food values:
| Value | Amount |
|---|---|
| Food | 14 hunger points |
| Saturation | 21 |
| Effect | Nourishment I for 300 seconds (5 minutes) |
Nourishment sets exhaustion to zero while it is active, so hunger does not drain from walking, mining or fighting. The effect is covered on the Comfort and Nourishment page. While Nourishment is active, a player can eat even when their food bar is full.
Light
Gleaming Salad emits light with a level of 12 when placed. It is the only feast that emits light, and it can be used as a low light source in dark areas.
Items
Each feast has a block form, which is placed, and a serving form, which is taken from the block. The servings are listed below.
- Roast Chicken: a roasted chicken with carrots and potatoes. 4 servings, Bowl.
- Stuffed Pumpkin: a pumpkin filled with rice, onion, mushroom, potato and sweet berries. 4 servings, Bowl. Removed when empty.

Pack changes
Farmer's Delight's meal and feast blocks are marked as brittle by the Create mod's tags, so Create contraptions can break them. The pack does not change feast recipes, servings or meal values.
