Infused Fabric is a crafting material added by Hexerei. It is made in the Mixing Cauldron and is used to build the Witch Armor set, the seat of a broom, and a family of decorative blocks and carpets. Infused fabric comes in a plain block form, a carpet form and an ornate form. The block and carpet forms can be dyed, and each form has a waxed version made with Wax Blend.

Obtaining

Infused fabric is produced by a Mixing Cauldron recipe that uses dye, leather and string with water as the fluid, and yields two pieces per craft. The recipe is listed below.

Infused fabric is also stored in the chests of two Hexerei structures: Covens (the Dark Coven chests carry the higher chance) and the Owl Post Office. The pack places covens and Hexerei witch huts about 30% closer together than in the base mod, and where a coven shares a structure set with other structures it has 6 times the weight. Hexerei chests are one of the containers the pack excludes from per-player loot, so the stock in a chest is shared by all players. Chance and average counts per chest are in the table below.

Infused Fabric Block is made from one infused fabric and seven wool of any colour in the Mixing Cauldron, with 250 mB of water, giving eight blocks. Two infused fabric blocks crafted together yield three Infused Fabric Carpets. A dyed block or carpet can also be crafted alone to remove its colour, which returns it to the plain undyed item.

Usage

Infused fabric is the main material of the Witch Armor pieces. It is also the ingredient of a broom seat and of a cleaning cloth, and its blocks and carpets are used for decoration.

Infused fabric block can be dyed by right-clicking it with any of the sixteen dyes. Dyeing a block with a colour it already has fails. A dyed block keeps its colour when broken: the dropped item stores the colour, and placing it restores that colour.

The ornate variants are made by right-clicking a plain infused fabric block with a gold nugget. The nugget is used up (unless the player is in Creative mode) and the block becomes an Ornate Infused Fabric Block, with the same hardness and blast resistance as the plain block. An ornate block cannot take another gold nugget. Dyeing an ornate block drops one gold nugget and converts it into a plain block of the dye colour. Ornate carpets are made only in the crafting grid, from ornate blocks; they cannot be made with a gold nugget.

Waxed versions of the block, carpet and ornate forms are made by applying Wax Blend to the plain item in the world. Waxed blocks can be cleaned back to their plain form with a cleaning cloth, which is itself a crafting item made from one infused fabric.

Items

Blocks have hardness 0.8 and carpets have hardness 0.1, with the same blast resistance. Plain, ornate and waxed blocks share these values.
