Coffins and Sarcophagi are storage and decor blocks added by two mods. The Graveyard adds a Sarcophagus and eleven wood-type coffins (oak, spruce, birch, dark oak, jungle, acacia, mangrove, warped, crimson, bamboo and cherry). Sleepy Hollows adds a single Coffin. Every block is two blocks long, with a head half and a foot half, and opens a 54-slot container the size of a double chest.

The Graveyard blocks tie into that mod's systems. A Ghouling can carry one as extra storage, and opening an unlocked one can summon a Wraith. The Sleepy Hollows Coffin is a plain storage container. It is not a bed and does not set a spawn point.

Each Graveyard wood coffin takes eight planks of its matching wood and one Dark Iron ingot. The Graveyard sarcophagus takes eight Cobbled Deepslate and one Dark Iron ingot. The Sleepy Hollows Coffin takes eight Gravestone Blocks arranged in a ring around one chest, with the chest in the centre of the 3×3 grid.

Chest loot

A Sleepy Hollows Coffin can be given the chests/coffin loot table, which fills the coffin when it is first opened. The table's first pool rolls 2 to 4 times, and later pools add more items. The full contents are listed below.

Not found in chests or mob drops.

Usage

Storage

Right-clicking either half of a block opens its 54-slot container. Breaking a Graveyard coffin or sarcophagus drops its contents.

This pack's Lootr setup cannot make these containers per-player. Graveyard coffins and the Sleepy Hollows Coffin are shared, and the first player to open one takes its items (see Lootr).

The Graveyard lid changes its openness by 0.1 per tick, so it opens or closes in about half a second.

Sleepy Hollows Coffin

In the first pool of the chest loot table, each roll picks one of six entries. The entries have a total weight of 57, and Spectral Essence has weight 5, so about 9 percent of rolls from that pool give it. Spectral Essence is the material for Hauntbound Armor.

Locks and Wraiths

Each Graveyard block has a locked state. A block placed by a player is locked when it is placed, and both halves lock together. Blocks that were not placed by a player start unlocked.

When a player opens an unlocked block below Y 62, a 1-in-4 roll decides whether a Wraith appears. The Wraith spawns within two blocks horizontally of the player, and the block and its other half then lock. A failed roll leaves the block unlocked, so the next open rolls again. A locked block never spawns a Wraith. The spawn also triggers a Graveyard advancement.

Ghouling storage

A Ghouling can carry one of ten blocks: the sarcophagus and nine wood coffins (oak, dark oak, spruce, birch, jungle, acacia, mangrove, warped and crimson). It cannot carry the bamboo or cherry coffins, or the Sleepy Hollows Coffin.

Only the owner can equip a block. The owner right-clicks the Ghouling while it has no block, which uses one item and gives the Ghouling a 54-slot inventory. The owner sneak-right-clicks the Ghouling to open that inventory. When the Ghouling dies, the block and its stored items drop, except items that prevent equipment from dropping.

Items

• Sarcophagus: hardness 1.5, higher than the wood coffins' hardness of 1.
• Wood coffins: one block per wood type. Each has the same container and behaviour as the sarcophagus, with the wood's texture.
• Coffin (Sleepy Hollows): blast resistance 6, far above the Graveyard blocks' 1 to 1.5. It needs a pickaxe to break.
• Lid and base items: model-only items used for rendering. They are not separate storage.

Tips

• Placing a Graveyard block yourself locks it, and a locked block never spawns a Wraith. Open an unlocked coffin only when you are ready for a Wraith.
• Items stored in a Ghouling's coffin drop when the Ghouling dies, so keep valuable items elsewhere.
• Keep valuable items out of shared Lootr containers, since every player who opens one can take them.
