The Angling Table is a utility block added by Tide that handles fishing rod accessories. It is a container with a single rod slot, three accessory slots (line, bobber and hook) and a result slot, used to strip accessories off a rod or fit them onto one. It is part of the Tide Fishing system. The block extends the vanilla crafting table class, but right-clicking it opens the rod menu rather than a crafting grid.

Obtaining

The Angling Table is crafted in a shaped 2-wide, 3-tall grid. Its ingredients are item tags rather than single items: any planks, any copper ingot and any string can be used. See the recipe grid below.

Usage

Right-clicking the Angling Table opens the "Upgrade Rod" screen. The screen has these slots:

The table only handles line, bobber and hook. Bait is not part of its slots.

Installing accessories

When a rod with accessories is placed in the rod slot, the table first removes every accessory installed on the rod and places each one in its matching slot (line, bobber or hook). If a matching slot is already occupied, the removed accessory goes into the player's inventory instead, and is dropped on the ground if the inventory is full. The result slot then shows the rod rebuilt with whatever accessories are now in the input slots.

To install accessories, place a rod in the rod slot and fill any of the line, bobber and hook slots. The result slot shows the rod with those accessories installed. Taking the result clears the input slots.

If the rod slot is empty, or the line, bobber and hook slots are all empty, the result slot stays empty.

Fuel

The Angling Table burns for 300 ticks (15 seconds) in a furnace, the same as the Tide wooden crate and fish display. Vanilla fuel values are not changed.
