Kitchen Counters and Cabinets are two families of kitchen furniture. Handcrafted adds wooden counters and cupboards, which are storage blocks with 27 slots. Refurbished Furniture adds kitchen cabinetry, kitchen drawers, kitchen sinks and kitchen storage cabinets, which connect into a continuous run and, in the case of the sink, hold fluid. The Refurbished set also comes in sixteen dye colours. Both sets are used to furnish kitchens, and the storage blocks double as containers.
Obtaining
Neither mod places these blocks in the world. They have no worldgen, no biomes, no structure placement and no villager or wandering trader trades, and neither mod adds them to any loot table. All of them must be crafted.
Handcrafted counters and cupboards are made in the normal crafting grid. Every block drops itself when broken. Refurbished kitchen blocks are made at the Refurbished Furniture workbench, which needs electricity, so a player needs a working power network before crafting this set. ### Crafting

The Refurbished kitchen set comes in sixteen dye colours. Coloured kitchen cabinetry is made at the workbench by combining one dye with one wooden kitchen cabinetry piece. An existing coloured cabinetry piece can be recoloured in the crafting grid by placing a dye in the cell directly above it. Handcrafted has no coloured counters or cupboards.
Usage
Handcrafted counters and cupboards
Counters and cupboards each hold 27 items in three rows, with the same inventory layout as a chest. Opening one plays the chest open and close sounds, and the contents are dropped when the block is broken. Each block has an analog redstone output equal to how full its inventory is, so a comparator can read the fill level. Counters, cupboards, drawers and shelves do not conduct redstone power, unlike vanilla planks.
A counter has a top surface that can be changed. Right-clicking it with a plank or a stone-type block from the handcrafted:counter_materials set changes the top surface to that material. Shift-right-clicking resets the top surface to calcite. Counters come in three looks and cupboards in two. The Hammer cycles these looks on the block that is being hit. Both blocks mine fastest with an axe and have a hardness of 2 and a blast resistance of 3.
Refurbished kitchen cabinetry
Kitchen cabinetry has no inventory. Its shape updates automatically to meet neighbouring cabinetry, and it has five shapes: default, inside corner left and right, and outside corner left and right. Placing cabinetry next to other cabinetry forms a continuous run, and the corner shapes appear where runs meet at a right angle. It has a hardness of 2 and a blast resistance of 2.
Refurbished kitchen drawer
A kitchen drawer holds one row of 9 items. It opens only when the face it is facing is right-clicked; other faces do not open it. Its hardness and blast resistance are both 2.5.
Refurbished kitchen storage cabinet
A kitchen storage cabinet holds three rows of 27 items. It is the kitchen version of the storage cabinet and uses the same chest-style inventory. It has an open state and a hardness and blast resistance of 2.5.
Refurbished kitchen sink
A kitchen sink has a fluid tank that holds three buckets of fluid by default. Its fluid capacity can be changed in the server configuration. The sink exposes a fluid handler, so pipes and other fluid-handling blocks can take fluid from it or put fluid into it.
By default, the sink's dispenseWater option is enabled. When it is enabled, right-clicking a side or top face of the sink fills the tank with free water, as long as the tank is empty or already holds water and is not full. If the tank holds a full bucket of lava, a water click instead produces obsidian.
Fear Nightfall
Fear Nightfall makes no changes to these blocks. They have no horror-specific behaviour and do not change with the time of day.
Items
The Handcrafted set has eleven wood types, including bamboo, so its counters and cupboards come in bamboo as well as the vanilla wood types. The Refurbished set has ten wood types and no bamboo variant. Each Refurbished kitchen block also has a 16-colour variant. The table below is generated from the game data.
