Tables are flat-topped furniture blocks added by two mods. Handcrafted adds a table and a side table in each of 11 wood types, 22 blocks in total. Refurbished Furniture adds a table in each of 10 wood types. Handcrafted tables link visually to neighbouring tables, Handcrafted side tables hold items in a 27-slot inventory, and Refurbished tables join up with other Refurbished tables and can be used as a tuck point for chairs. Neither mod adds tables to worldgen, loot tables, mob drops or villager trades, so tables come only from crafting.

Obtaining

Every table is crafted. Handcrafted tables and side tables use an ordinary crafting grid. Refurbished tables are made at a workbench, which needs power from an electricity network to craft.

A Handcrafted table takes three planks of its wood type and two sticks, and yields two tables. A Handcrafted side table takes three slabs and four planks of its wood type plus a chest from the handcrafted:chests item tag, and yields two side tables. That tag holds the vanilla chest and any chest item in the c:chests tag. A Refurbished table takes six planks of its wood type and yields one table.

Usage

Handcrafted tables

Handcrafted tables have no inventory. When a table is placed or a neighbouring block changes, the table checks its four horizontal neighbours for blocks in the handcrafted:table_connectable block tag, which includes the table family itself. Connected sides change the table's shape: with no connected neighbour the table uses a single shape, with one a side shape, with two a corner or straight shape, and with three or four a centre shape.

Handcrafted tables and side tables accept a sheet. Right-clicking the table with a sheet colours it, and placing a different sheet returns the old one to the player. Shift-right-clicking removes the sheet. Breaking a coloured table drops its sheet.

Handcrafted side tables

A Handcrafted side table is a storage block with 27 slots arranged as a three-row chest. Right-clicking it opens the inventory, and the vanilla chest open and close sounds play. The contents drop when the block is broken. The side table emits an analog redstone signal equal to the fullness of its inventory, so a comparator reads how full it is. A side table can also be coloured with a sheet.

Refurbished tables

A Refurbished table has no inventory and no power requirement. It connects only to other Refurbished tables. When a table is next to another one, the edge of its top and its legs on the shared side are removed, so two tables read as one piece. Refurbished tables are in the tuckable block tag, so a Refurbished chair can be tucked under one. Carry On does not blacklist Refurbished tables, so they can be picked up with Carry On.

Mining

All tables and side tables are mined with an axe and have a hardness of 2. Handcrafted tables and side tables have a blast resistance of 3. Refurbished tables have a blast resistance of 2.

Items

• Handcrafted tables exist in 11 wood types: Acacia, Bamboo, Birch, Cherry, Crimson, Dark Oak, Jungle, Mangrove, Oak, Spruce and Warped. Each has a matching side table.
• Refurbished tables exist in 10 wood types: Oak, Spruce, Birch, Jungle, Acacia, Dark Oak, Mangrove, Cherry, Crimson and Warped. The set has no Bamboo table.
• The Handcrafted and Refurbished tables share display names, so the game holds two blocks called Oak Table, one from each mod. They are separate blocks with different ids, and each mod's tables are in their own item tag.

Tips

• Use a Handcrafted side table as a small chest with 27 slots, and read its fullness with a comparator.
• Keep the power network running for the workbench that makes Refurbished tables, or their crafting will not work.
