The Light Fridge and Dark Fridge are two-block kitchen appliances added by Refurbished Furniture. Each unit has a fridge half, a 27-slot storage container with a hinged door, stacked on top of a freezer half, a powered machine that solidifies water buckets into ice. The two items share the same stats and behaviour and differ only in their texture and map colour. The freezer half needs Electricity to do anything.
Obtaining
Light and dark fridges do not generate in the world. The mod's data does not place them in any structure or chest loot table, and no mob drops them. The Fear Nightfall pack does not change them. Players obtain both items by crafting them.
Crafting
The Light Fridge is made at a workbench. The Dark Fridge takes one Light Fridge and one black dye, so a dark unit requires a light unit to be made first. The Dark Fridge can be made at a workbench or in a normal crafting grid. Ingredients are listed in the table below.

Usage
Placement and breaking
A fridge is placed as a single item, but it occupies two blocks vertically. Placement fails if the block above the clicked position is not empty or replaceable, or if the space is at the top of the world. The unit faces the player who placed it, and its door is on the front face. Right-clicking that face opens the storage.
Either half can be broken with a pickaxe of stone tier or better. The block has a hardness of 3.5 and a blast resistance of 3.5. Breaking one half removes the other half as well. Either half drops one fridge item, and the item keeps any custom name given to the unit.
Fridge storage
The fridge half has three rows of storage, 27 slots in total. It has no power requirement and works without any connection to the electricity network. Its door opens with a sound and switches to the open model while a player has it open.
Freezer
The freezer half has one input slot and one output slot. Items placed in the input slot solidify into the output slot after the following times:
- Water bucket to ice: 600 ticks (30 seconds).
- Ice to packed ice: 1200 ticks (60 seconds).
- Packed ice to blue ice: 2400 ticks (120 seconds).
The freezer is a powered device on the Electricity network. It must be linked to an electricity generator with a wrench, and it stops processing while it has no power. Its screen has a power switch, and the freezer starts switched off, so a player must turn it on before it solidifies anything. Automation placed on the side of the freezer inserts into the input slot. Hoppers placed below it extract from both slots.
The freezer can be switched through the Smart Home app when the computer and the freezer share a network. Because it is a powered device, a lightswitch on the same network also cuts its power.
Carry On cannot pick up fridges or freezers. The mod's Carry On block list blacklists them, along with baths.
