The Butcher Shop Decorations are the decorative and utility blocks that Butchery adds to furnish a butcher's shop: display cases, counters, colored canopies, a cash register, signs, a butcher statue, barrels, jars, plastic sheeting, photographs and diorite brick variants. Most are plain building blocks with no behaviour beyond their shape, but a few do something mechanical. The Butcher Display stores items, the Cash Register pays out loot when a Coin is used on it, the Spike Trap damages anything that walks onto it, and jars hold organs that drop when the jar is broken.
Obtaining
All of the decorations are crafted at a crafting table. None are generated naturally in the world, and none are dropped by mobs. The recipe for each variant is in the table below.
Most blocks have a hardness of 1 and a blast resistance of 10, so they break quickly with any tool. Jars are far more fragile, with a hardness and blast resistance of 0.3. The Butchery Workstations and Butchery Tools pages cover the crafting-station and tool blocks that these recipes often use as ingredients.
Crafting
Canopies are made in sixteen dye colours. Each recipe uses four wool of the chosen colour, two white wool and three iron ingots, which makes the canopies one of the more expensive decorations to fill a shop front with. Butcher Displays and Counters are made in eight wood types. The displays use four iron ingots, a glass pane, a raw donkey steak and three planks, and the counters use two iron ingots and two planks.
Usage
The decorations are placed and used like any other block. The notes below cover the blocks that behave differently from plain building material.
Butcher Displays and counters
The Butcher Display is the only block in this group with an inventory. The mod labels its inventory screen as a Freezer, so the display is intended for storing meat. Counters are decorative surfaces.
Canopies
Canopies are decorative awnings that face one of four directions. They are placed like any other directional block, and their colour is set entirely by the wool used in the recipe.
Cash Register
Right-clicking the Cash Register toggles its drawer, with a matching open or close sound. If the player holds a Coin in the main hand and right-clicks the register, one Coin is consumed and a loot roll is made from the loot table set in the mod's Loottable config option. The default table is minecraft:chests/end_city_treasure, so each Coin is a small end city treasure roll.
Spike Traps
A Spike Trap damages any entity that walks onto it, for 1 point of damage. The Elder Spike Trap, made from Elder Guardian spikes instead of Guardian spikes, deals 2 points of damage and also applies Mining Fatigue II for 60 ticks (3 seconds). The Spike Trap's tooltip text says that the regular trap also applies Mining Fatigue, but the trap's code applies only the damage, so the Elder variant is the one that slows mining.
Jars
Jars hold organs. Their block state records which organ is stored, and breaking a jar drops the organ it holds, such as a heart, kidney, liver, lungs, stomach or intestines.
Other decorations
The Butcher Statue, signs, barrels, plastic sheets, cling film, photographs, sand and diorite bricks are purely decorative. The Barrels of Bones, Cod and Salmon are crafted from a barrel and eight of the matching drops. The Hanging Rope is crafted from sticks and string.
Diorite Bricks come as a full block, a slab, stairs and a wall. The slab yields six slabs from three bricks, and the stairs are crafted from six diorite.
Items
