The Hearths Nether Towers are multi-piece jigsaw structures added to the Nether by the Hearths mod. There are two variants, the crimson tower in the crimson forest and the warped tower in the warped forest. They are the only Hearths structures with gameplay effects: each tower contains a blaze spawner and chests, and it changes which hostile mobs spawn inside its own bounding box. Hearths adds no items, blocks, mobs or recipes of its own, and the towers reuse vanilla blocks and mobs.
Hearths also adds a second structure, the netherrack spiral, which is described under Generation.
Generation
Towers generate in the Nether's crimson and warped forests. The pack's placement data lists the crimson tower in Crimson Forest, Undergrowth, Visceral Heap and Infernal Holt, and the warped tower in Warped Forest, Glistering Meadow and Mycotoxic Undergrowth. The biomes beyond the two vanilla forests come from Fear Nightfall's biome matching, which extends vanilla-biome structures to modded biomes with the same climate and biome type.
Both towers belong to the same structure set, hearths:towers, with equal weight, so each variant takes half of that set's placements. The set uses a spacing of 30 chunks and a separation of 23 chunks. Crimson towers start between Y 12 and Y 24, and warped towers between Y 8 and Y 20. In a 26 km² sample of the server's Nether no towers were found, so they are uncommon.
The netherrack spiral is a separate structure set with a spacing of 11 chunks and a separation of 7 chunks. It generates in Nether Wastes, Crystalline Chasm and Erupting Inferno, starts between Y 18 and Y 22, and is built only from netherrack and lava. It has no loot, no mobs and no spawn override, and it is mainly terrain. Because it is dense, it can cover a large share of the Nether Wastes.
Layout
Each tower is a stack of jigsaw pieces about six pieces deep, made from a fixed bottom piece and a top piece. The crimson tower is built from crimson planks, crimson fences and stairs, stripped crimson stems, polished blackstone bricks, chains and shroomlight. The warped tower uses warped planks, warped slabs, stairs and fences, stripped warped stems, warped wart blocks, chains and shroomlight.
Each tower has one interior room chosen by weight:
| Tower | Interior rooms (weight) |
|---|---|
| Crimson tower | Chest room (3), blaze spawner room (1) |
| Warped tower | Chest room (3), lava room (1), blaze spawner room (1), vines room (1) |
Inhabitants
Every blaze room has a spawner for blazes. Both towers also override the mobs that spawn inside their bounding boxes, and the overrides apply only inside the tower, not to the surrounding biome:
- Crimson tower: blazes (weight 3, 1 to 2 per group), piglins (weight 10, 3 to 5 per group) and magma cubes (weight 3, 4 per group).
- Warped tower: endermen (weight 3, 1 to 2 per group), piglins (weight 10, 3 to 5 per group) and magma cubes (weight 3, 4 per group).
Piglins are by far the most common tower spawn, with a weight of 10 against 3 for each of the other two. The warped tower swaps the blazes for endermen, so its fights are against piglins, magma cubes and endermen rather than blazes.
Loot
Tower chests use the vanilla nether bridge chest table, so the contents match a Nether fortress chest. The most frequent entry is Arcane Essence (74%). The entries worth searching for are Diamond (19%), Golden Chestplate (21%), Golden Horse Armor (26%), Iron Horse Armor (21%) and Saddle (37%). Gold Ingot (48%) and Scroll (31%) are also common. The full list follows.

Tips
Look at the tower from outside first to tell which variant it is, since the mob mix differs. Expect a piglin group of three to five inside. Clear the piglins in a corridor where only one can reach you at a time. Blazes shoot fireballs, so keep your distance from the spawner room.
The warped tower's endermen will target you if you look at them, so keep your line of sight off them until you are ready to fight.
