AdoraBuild End Structures

The AdoraBuild End Structures are End-dimension builds added by AdoraBuild: Structures. They come in three kinds: glass-and-obsidian bubbles, End gateway shrines and purpur temples. The temples hold chests and shulkers, the bubbles hold axolotls, bees or tropical fish, and each gateway shrine contains an End gateway. The mod's End set also includes houses, a small ship and ancient palace pieces, which are not described on this page.

Generation

All seven structures generate in The End, in the following biomes: End Midlands, End Highlands, End Barrens, Small End Islands, End Corruption, End Reef and End Wilds. They are placed on the surface and the terrain is shaped to fit each footprint.

The structures share one placement grid. In-game spacing is 155 chunks with a separation of 25 chunks, which already includes the pack's Sparse Structures scaling, so the End has far fewer of them than the mod's defaults would give. In a 26 km² sample of The End, no instance of any of these seven structures was found.

When the grid picks a position, the structure is chosen by weight out of 41 for the whole set:

From outside, the bubbles show as purple glass domes walled with obsidian, the temples as pale purpur with chorus flowers, and the gateways as tall, thin towers topped with end rods.

Layout

Glass bubbles

• Large bubble (24 × 18 × 24 blocks): mostly purple stained glass and obsidian. It holds five axolotls and no chests.
• Medium bubble (two variants, 16 × 10 × 16 and 11 × 19 × 11 blocks): the first variant has two chests and a bee nest. The second is almost all purple glass and holds 17 tropical fish and no chests.

End gateway shrines

• Large gateway (9 × 27 × 9 blocks): the tallest structure in the set. It has one End gateway, 20 end rods, two crying obsidian blocks and two bedrock blocks. It has no chests and places no mobs.
• Small gateway (7 × 9 × 7 blocks): one End gateway, four end rods and two bedrock blocks. It has no chests and places no mobs.

Purpur temples

• Large temple (17 × 11 × 19 blocks): built from 823 purpur blocks, 178 purpur stairs, 144 purpur pillars and 104 end stone, with 84 purple glass panes, 66 chorus flowers and 10 end rods. It has four chests, four shulkers and one end crystal.
• Small temple (12 × 9 × 12 blocks): smaller, with purple glass, ten end rods, two chests and two shulkers.

Inhabitants

The structures place no bosses and no spawner blocks. The mobs placed in them are:

• Axolotls: five in the large bubble.
• Bees: placed with the bee nest in the first medium bubble.
• Tropical fish: 17 in the second medium bubble.
• Shulkers: four in the large temple and two in the small temple. Shulkers are the main threat in the temples, because they fire projectiles from a distance and are hard to reach.

Loot

Chests appear only in the medium bubble and the two temples. The chest tables are listed below.

The temple chests draw from the End city treasure table. Arcane Essence has the highest listed chance (96%), followed by Uncommon Ink (57%), Gold Ingot (56%) and Enchanted Book (28%). Diamond (21%) and Rare Ink (19%) are less common but still possible.

The first medium bubble draws from a dedicated table, beehive_loot. It rolls three to five times, with up to ten bonus rolls, and its entries include glass bottles, honey bottles, shears and flint and steel.

Tips

• Both temples contain shulkers, four in the large temple and two in the small one. Shulkers fire projectiles from a distance, so expect ranged attacks on approach.
• An End gateway block teleports the player when touched. Check where a gateway leads before stepping into it.
• The large bubble and the first medium bubble are built with obsidian, which requires a diamond pickaxe to mine.
• The large gateway is 27 blocks tall, the tallest structure in the set, so it is visible from a long way off.
