Spectral Waraxe and Shatterbrand covers the Spectral War Axe and the Shatterbrand, the two combat weapons that Sleepy Hollows adds to Fear Nightfall, along with the Raubbau, a shovel from the same loot set. All three are unstackable, fire resistant and have 2031 durability. None of them can be crafted. The only sources in the pack are loot bags, so a player who wants them has to earn loot bags from tombstones or from the Headless Horseman.

The mod is one of the pack's horror biomes. Fear Nightfall made the Sleepy Hollows biome more common than the mod's default settings and placed Sleepy Hollows structures about 30% closer together, so the loot sources are easier to reach. The biome itself is dangerous after dark, and the weapons are most useful to a player who is prepared for its Sanity drain.

Obtaining

The three weapons come from loot bags only, and no recipe in the mod makes them. The loot bag sources are listed below.

• Loot bag contents. Opening a loot bag rolls its gift table 2 to 4 times. The table's total weight is 635, so each roll gives the Raubbau a 20/635 chance (about 3.1%), the Spectral War Axe 15/635 (about 2.4%) and the Shatterbrand 10/635 (about 1.6%). The same rolls can give Hauntbound Armor pieces, Spectral Essence, Dusk Berries, Candy Corn, Spectral Pumpkin Pie and Hollow Planks.
• Tombstones. Using Spectral Essence on a tombstone rolls the tombstone gift table once. A loot bag is 10 of the table's 100 weight, so each use has a 10% chance of a loot bag.
• Headless Horseman. The boss drops three loot bags by default. It is summoned by a pedestal ritual that uses Luminous Essence, and it always drops Reins of the Spectral Horse on death.

Coffin chests and Infected Zombies do not drop these three weapons.

Usage

Spectral War Axe

The Spectral War Axe is the mod's axe-type weapon. It has two effects on a hit that lands:

• The target gains the Glowing effect for 120 ticks (6 seconds).
• The axe adds an armor-piercing bonus. The bonus is the extra damage that would get through if the target's armor were halved, so the axe does more damage the more heavily armored the target is.

Each hit also sends white ash and soul particles around the target.

Shatterbrand

The Shatterbrand is a sword that applies the Infected effect to a target on each hit that lands. The effect lasts 30 ticks (1.5 seconds) and is applied at level 2. Infected ignores its level, so the extra level adds nothing.

Infected deals 1 wither damage every 40 ticks while it is active. On players it also drains 2 sanity every 3 seconds. Infected Zombies are immune to Infected, so the sword's effect does nothing to them. Infected is removed by a Splash Luminous Water.

Raubbau

The Raubbau is a shovel. Whenever it is in a player's inventory, its Efficiency enchantment is raised to level 8. The shovel does not gain haste. Mining with it also stops any item use the player has started and swings the player's arm.

Tips

• Keep a Splash Luminous Water on hand when you fight near infected flowers or use the Shatterbrand, since it removes Infected from the entities it hits.
• Hauntbound Armor reduces the sanity lost in the biome. Wear it before you spend a long time in the biome at night, when sanity drains twice as fast as by day.
• The Spectral War Axe is most useful against heavily armored mobs, where its armor bonus is largest.
