Picture Frames are decorative blocks added by the Beautify mod. There are ten frame types: one for each of nine wood types (oak, spruce, birch, jungle, acacia, dark oak, mangrove, crimson and warped) and one made of quartz. Each frame displays one of 13 painted pictures, called motives, which is chosen at random when the frame is placed. The frames are purely decorative and have no effect on gameplay beyond their appearance. They are part of the furniture set that Beautify adds alongside Blinds, Trellises and Hanging Pots.
Obtaining
Picture frames are only obtained by crafting. They do not generate naturally, and the chest tables of the Botanist's House and the trades of the Botanist villager do not include them.
Crafting
Each frame is crafted from two slabs of its wood type, one white wool and one stick. The two slabs sit above and below the wool, and the stick sits to the right of the lower slab. One craft yields one frame. The wooden frames can also be burned as fuel, at 1.5 items each.
Frames break almost instantly, with a hardness of 0.1 and a blast resistance of 0.1, and they stack to 64. The quartz frame is the only frame that requires a tool to drop as an item.
Usage
When a frame is placed, it chooses one of the 13 motives at random. The choice is not tied to the world seed, so the motive of a given frame cannot be predicted. The frame faces the player who placed it.
Changing the picture requires sneaking. Hold Shift and right-click the frame to advance it to the next motive. After motive 12, the next click returns to motive 0. Each change plays the painting placement sound. A plain right-click without Shift does nothing to the frame.
Frames are not moved by pistons. A piston that tries to push a frame destroys it instead, and the frame drops as an item.
Frames have no inventory and no redstone behaviour. Their only interaction is changing the motive.
Items
All ten frame types share the same motive states and block stats. The table below lists them.
